I don’t ski as long as I used to either. It takes me a few hours to knock off the rust of only skiing once a year. But the time I do that and get to the point where I think I know what I’m doing again, I start wearing out. That’s probably a good thing otherwise I’d start thinking about going over one of the jumps!My level of skiing now is sitting in the lodge, warm drink and watching the kids have fun.

Looks like that Snakewood has darkened quite a bit ?! Well saidI'm not saying women didn't have it rough too. But when I heard Tony Bose first say, "when men were men, and women were glad of it" made me laugh because no one today quite knows what it's really like to go through what our grand parents' grand parents went through. We try to always leave the world a better place for the next generation, and we have the previous generations to thank for our blessings today.

Thanks. I do feel incredibly lucky. I was nearly 30 before she passed. She was even able to meet my wife. I don't have many material things from her, which doesn't bother me. I have enough memories to last a lifetime.

We like going to a little place here in Northern Illinois. The skiing is fun and the slopes match our skill level, which aren’t very good!The pretty little town has a nice brewery, good restaurants, and a distillery, just right for a four day visit.
I've never skiied! We don't often have the weather for it here. I had a nice holiday, at a ski village in the Austrian Tyrol, a dozen years back, but it was summer, rather than winter!My level of skiing now is sitting in the lodge, warm drink and watching the kids have fun.

I've never even been ice-skating! When I was a youth worker, we took a load of kids to a rink. One of my colleagues told me, "Unless you can skate really well, don't get on the ice with the kids, you'll end up with a broken leg!"

I took a pair of trousers in to be hemmed at the market this morning, and was charged £10! Unfortunately that knife is not a Lambsfoot, and as you'll see from post #1, this thread is for Lambsfoot knives only. Would be kind enough to edit your post please? Hope everyone is having a nice day The weather has been pretty pleasant here, though it was still chilly out of the sun, and it has been a good day on the market. Tool Man replaced his Spam sandwich Third Breakfast, with a double cheeseburger, while I got stuck with a rather rotten vegan sausage sandwich 
I decided to have a falafel sandwich for lunch, while Tool Man was munching his way through a stack of corned-beef sandwiches, supplemented by a couple of pork pies!
Cake break in the afternoon

I was going to make an Italian tomato soup tonight, but, as well as not being hungry, I am tired out, so I'm having a couple of those 'No Pork Pies' as a snack! I had bought them with Tool Man in mind, but I forgot them this morning. I'm not sure they'd have fooled him, but quite a tasty snack nonetheless

it was the lighting but it is darker. I did put a fresh coat of oil on the knife and covers so it might just appear darker than it is as well.
