Good Morning Guardians

Looks good Jack. I’m up a bit earlier than usual. Mrs. Bigfish and I are taking a few days off to go skiing. We like going to a little place here in Northern Illinois. The skiing is fun and the slopes match our skill level, which aren’t very good! The pretty little town has a nice brewery, good restaurants, and a distillery, just right for a four day visit.

Sounds like a nice long weekend, Todd. I did some snowboarding when I was younger. I’d like to go again some time, but I think I was 18 the last time I did it, so it might be… interesting.

LOL! I've never even been ice-skating! When I was a youth worker, we took a load of kids to a rink. One of my colleagues told me, "Unless you can skate really well, don't get on the ice with the kids, you'll end up with a broken leg!"

Ice-skating is another thing I haven’t done since I was a kid. Eleanor has asked a couple times about learning, and I know I’ll have to take her at some point, but I’m not looking forward to embarrassing myself in front of a bunch of Minnesotans!

Hope everyone is having a nice day The weather has been pretty pleasant here, though it was still chilly out of the sun, and it has been a good day on the market. Tool Man replaced his Spam sandwich Third Breakfast, with a double cheeseburger, while I got stuck with a rather rotten vegan sausage sandwich

I decided to have a falafel sandwich for lunch, while Tool Man was munching his way through a stack of corned-beef sandwiches, supplemented by a couple of pork pies!

Now that sounds tasty, Harvey. I love a waffle with peanut butter (extra crunchy) and maple syrup, but haven’t ever made it into a taco with bacon.

I got up early this morning to shovel half of the driveway so my wife could leave for work. I didn’t measure, but we probably got another 8 or 10 inches overnight. Our street hadn’t been plowed by the time she left, but her little SUV has AWD, so she made it just fine. I don’t have anywhere to be today, so I’ll finish the driveway and clean the snow off my truck once it’s done snowing.

Snow has tapered off and we didn't get quite as much as they were predicting, still a good amount though.

Jack Black it was the lighting but it is darker. I did put a fresh coat of oil on the knife and covers so it might just appear darker than it is as well.

After saying exactly what I thought he would say, ("Oh nooo, you're not!"), and realising it was a temperary situation, he found it quite funny, and was also quite interested Cora, his daughter, was vegetarian for a long time

Its still snowing! I think the worst of it is past so thank God for that. Going to head into town after work to meet up with my folks for a fish fry. Im not a huge fan of fish but always enjoy getting together with family. Got the rosewood lamb with me today. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Its still snowing! I think the worst of it is past so thank God for that. Going to head into town after work to meet up with my folks for a fish fry. Im not a huge fan of fish but always enjoy getting together with family. Got the rosewood lamb with me today. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Enjoy your trip Todd! Skiing is not in my wheelhouse. I tried one time and that was it for me. I said the hell with it after my 100th fall and went into the clubhouse and drank beer. Sweet lamb as always.

Glad to hear the worst has passed Paul My taste for fish has declined a lot over the past 20 years, to the point where I very rarely eat it - well not at all at the moment! Rosewood Lamb is looking good

Thanks buddy, I'm pretty sure it's made by TEW. The steel is fantastic on the older knives, a few strokes on a stone, and they are sharp as the dickens, and keep their keen edge a long time
