Hope it warms up again soon Bob, that's some superb jigged bone
Sounds like a good day to stay in with your Hartshead Barlow Bill
Good AFTERNOON Guardians, Blimey, took me more than an hour and a half to catch up!

I had a very good night last night

The Ukrainian rally was very moving, but while well-attended, I was surprised there weren't even more people there. I dare say it could have been better advertised, but still...
After that me and my pal went to the pub for something to eat, and were joined by his missus and kids, which were nice. They all had pizzas, while I had a 'Beyond Burger' with fries and onion rings. Have to say, the burger was a very realistic replacement for meat. Not sure it's any healthier!
Me and my mate had our first pint, and then headed off to the boxing, where we were joined by a lot of old friends. The beer flowed readily, and the boxing was good. They were only 3 round contests, but there some very spirited fighters, with good skills. My friend was second on the card, and I have to say that, unlike the rest, the first 2 fights looked to be mis-matches. My pal is 45, but very fit, while his younger opponent looked to be a bit on the flabby side. After a scrappy few minutes, in which my mate quickly got the upper hand, he told me he backed off a little, because he felt bad for his friends who'd paid £25 for a ticket, but as his opponent rallied, he got stuck back in. Soon after, he dropped the lad with a devastating punch to the liver, and while he regained his feet, he didn't recover. After another battering, he was knocked out, and I have to say, it looked to me like he was glad to hit the canvas!
The other nine fights were much better, and it was a good evening, with a great, atmosphere, very friendly despite the central pugilism. After the boxing ended at 11.00pm, my friends who'd travelled to Leeds, wanted to carry on drinking, so I took them to a local pub, where we stayed until after 1.30am. A few then went back to their hotels, others went into the city centre to carry on boozing, while I walked home.
When my alarm went off this morning, I turned it back off, and then had a lie-in like I've not had since I was a teenager! When I woke up, I literally jumped out of bed, worried that I was going to be shouted at!

I've only had some toast so far today, but I'm going to head down to Charlie's soon I think, and then to an event at the Ukrainian Community Centre. Hope you're all having a great day Guardians
