Cool colors!
Thanks Bob.Todd very nice. A picture without snow!!!
Glad you can enjoy the out of doors.
Thanks John.A very classy photo from you too.![]()
Very nice Mike.
Thanks Bob, that's a double espresso stretched out with a little waterThat white really makes your knife come alive Jack.
Give me a good expresso any day. My Nespresso machine makes a passable cup.
I like strong coffee, with a good, thick crema, but I only drink a couple a dayHere is the cup I just made. I drank it down but the Jack and Leon versions look 100 percent more appetizing.

Thank you Jack. That's a beautiful pic my friend
Thank you Harvey. Some cool looking coins surounding your equally cool Lambfoot, D.
That is one of the most beautiful lambs I've ever seen Harvey. What a treat!
Just unbelievable Duncan. I hadn't heard about any of this. Our "world news" is just about non-existent these days. You were indeed blessed to escape the brunt of it. Thoughts and prayers to your countrymen.Thank you for all your kind words Folks, very much appreciated, please don't get me wrong- I am certainly not playing the sympathy card, in fact the opposite to be honest where I feel almost like a cheat as we are so so much luckier than so many others! I just drove from Hastings to Napier today on the only road to and from there for now.
Oh boy!! only in Christchurch after the massive Earthquakes did I see red spray painted circles on the outside of Houses to mark the Houses as either cleared / checked etc - I did hear the other day that the damage and carnage is way way worse than the Christchurch earthquakes from this Cyclone.
All the Houses along this one long road were devastated, along with huge Bulldozered piles of carnage into massive piles roadside to ensure makeshift thoroughfare.
also all along the Roads were cars strewn among trees and bushes and against each other - all were under water - wow, and here is Sue and I who escaped very well off with having suffered no harm, I cherish be one of the lucky ones- yet feel guilty, I guess this is a normal reaction of those who care.
Have a great day folks, and thank you.![]()

Such gorgeous grain in that one Jack.I do that all the time mate, I'll be in a cafe or bar, and say "How long have you had that photo/painting up on the wall?" And they'll say, "All the 10 years you've been coming in here!"The old one was only there a week or so in this case

Thanks for trying HarveyIt sounds like it was made some years back, but it's a long time since Sheffield was using stag of that quality. It's character, and the matching between Mark and Pile sides, along with the EO notch point point to a bespoke piece IMHO. I reckon you have a one-off there my friend
Beautiful shot
I'm appalled that this hasn't been in the news here Duncan, but then even the Turkish/Syrian earthquake was only mentioned for a few days, before making way for some rubbish to prattle about. I am sure you have heard of Survivor's Syndrome/Survivor's Guilt, it's a common, and natural, reaction when empathetic folks witness the suffering of others, but escape relatively unscathed. It must have been traumatic to see your new home devastated in this way, and to the extent it was. It sounds you're going to be reminded of it for a while too, as things may take time to get back to normal. You take care buddy
I might just give up Lent!
The pull is reasonable on mine![]()
Good morning Guardians, horrific to hear what Duncan and his neighbours have been through! It's been a heck of a few years hasn't it?!Most of our disasters here, can't be blamed on Mother Nature
Hope your week is going OK Guardians, and that you have a good day
I still have this nasty cough and sore throat, but the former is intermittent. Carrying my '19 today, like our pal in New Zealand. Have a good day folks, and stay safe out there

That sounds great Tyson, and much more sophisticated than what is available hereThere's a lot of pho places (as well as more general Vietnamese food restaurants) in Sacramento, and it's one of my favorite kinds of food. Most places include a garnish plate when they serve pho, overflowing with bean sprouts, mint leaves, hot peppers, limes, maybe a few other things depending on the restaurant (basil or rice paddy herb or other things). That way you get to fine-tune the flavor to what you want. A friend of mine has a very specific approach. He has a spoonful or two of ungarnished pho. Then he adds one garnish, and has another spoonful or two. Then adds another garnish, and so on. He says it's like he gets eight or nine different phos, since every couple of bites are different. And since he does them in a different order each time, it's a completely different set of eight or nine phos from the last time he ate there.
That sounds great, but I don't have that kind of patience, and I like all the garnishes, so I usually just put all of them in at the beginning.
