A grapefruit patina. I'll have to talk to my doctor about grapefruit again. I think she said I could still eat it if I kept it away from the prescription it can mess with.Your '18 is ageing well Jer![]()

Carpe Diem Bob!I will try to seize the day Jack, thanks
I've heard a few funny things about Grapefruit Jer, can't actually remember the last time I had grapefruit. It was a bit trendy here in the early 70's, if you stayed in a hotel, you might get half a grapefruit, with a halved glace cherry in the centre, to start your breakfast! Very sophisticatedA grapefruit patina. I'll have to talk to my doctor about grapefruit again. I think she said I could still eat it if I kept it away from the prescription it can mess with.

It might also be one of those things where you have to eat a ridiculous amount to obtain the deleterious result.
That's nice PeteThank you Jack!
That little rascal came from the Austin pound. We are so blessed to have her.
That sounds like it's going to be a fun trip.
Great photo and awesome lamb for yesterday Dwight.Thank you Bob.
Thank you Jack.
Thank you Harvey.
That is one of the most beautiful lambs I've ever seen Harvey. What a treat!
Just unbelievable Duncan. I hadn't heard about any of this. Our "world news" is just about non-existent these days. You were indeed blessed to escape the brunt of it. Thoughts and prayers to your countrymen.
Such gorgeous grain in that one Jack.
I love the pants on this one Bob. Hope your hip gets to feeling better.
Always love seeing that little furry friend and the African lamb Pete.

Hope your evening went well David. A real nice one to be totin around.
Sweet Rosewood Jon.
Very interesting concept to eat pho. I think I might try that. Im guessing, I would end up just throwing everything in and just scarf it down. Lovely lamb Tyson. There's a lot of pho places (as well as more general Vietnamese food restaurants) in Sacramento, and it's one of my favorite kinds of food. Most places include a garnish plate when they serve pho, overflowing with bean sprouts, mint leaves, hot peppers, limes, maybe a few other things depending on the restaurant (basil or rice paddy herb or other things). That way you get to fine-tune the flavor to what you want. A friend of mine has a very specific approach. He has a spoonful or two of ungarnished pho. Then he adds one garnish, and has another spoonful or two. Then adds another garnish, and so on. He says it's like he gets eight or nine different phos, since every couple of bites are different. And since he does them in a different order each time, it's a completely different set of eight or nine phos from the last time he ate there.
That sounds great, but I don't have that kind of patience, and I like all the garnishes, so I usually just put all of them in at the beginning.

Tool Man takes his stall to a steam fair at Whitby, on the North Yorkshire coast, each year, in August, and I have just booked 4 nights in a hotel there, so we can hang out. Whitby is one of my favourite seaside spots here

Your folks must be really pleased about you moving so close PaulHope everyone is having a great day. Have the normal workday and then going to the parents to help them with a fallen tree later. Mom has another pot of kimchi soup going. Moving this close to my parents has proven to be most rewarding. Nice to be able to get into a car and visit with them in 20 min instead of the plane ride and 2 1/2 hour drive. When my kids get here, my folks are going to have their hands full. Got my leave approved from work to go to the Badger Knife show later this month. Really looking forward to meeting a bunch of people from the porch and especially this Guardians thread. Have my numero uno stag lamb today.

Guess what I found in the supermarket last week?!

It's made by the firm who make my favourite branded pies, and LOOKS just the same. We'll see, it's in the oven now. I was going to have it after the market tomorrow, but reckon I might have been saving it too long anyway, looking at the 'sell by' date!![]()
I feel a need for some comfort food

Having watched a lot of bad movies that had won awards, I panicked a bit there Paul, and thought I'd look online. Lots of YT videos it turned out, but I didn't really want to know what a vegan thought about it. This bloke just seems to be a posh food vlogger type...Nice Jack. It has to be good. It's an award winner!!!
