Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

You are a much better diplomat that I am, Ed.

Also, lambfoot content.

Lambsfoot content indeed. Very nice Jeremy!!

Hello. It’s nice to have you here. The two knives, though beautiful, don’t belong here. Please be so kind as to edit and remove the image. This thread is strictly, with rare exception, for Lambfoot knives only. The first post of this thread is a great orientation to the Lambfoot World. Hope to see you post your first Lambfoot. Thank you.
Harvey, the State Department needs to hire you! Your diplomacy is outstanding! 😀

Please don't wish that upon the poor man. He is an outstanding member of the community, we don't want him corrupted and tarnished by anything as sordid as politics.
Leon, exactly what is needed! Harvey is a man of honor and would only contribute to the civil discourse that is so badly needed in our current political environment. Oh yeah, until recently our elected representatives didn’t hiss and boo our president. Sadly our civil discourse is becoming a parliamentary cluster f…!

You’ll have to let us know how the Pablo Esco-bear movie is, Jack. That’s a handsome Waynorth Lamb you’ve got there.

Thanks Barrett :) The movie was predictably daft, amusing throughout, but I don't think there were any real 'belly laugh' moments. A decent cast, but most of the budget probably went on CGI! :D Gives me something to post in the Traditional Knives in Movies thread anyway :D

Afternoon Guardians. Faithful Axe Lamb is standing guard today.

Yay! Go Guardians!
Guardians since it's Market Day. I had a hankering for a Tool Man sandwich. Double bacon cheese burger. 😁

Good for you David! :D Looks great :)
Not here though. It's Friday. 😁 😁 😁 🤠
Hope you're having a good one mate :)
Thought it was a lamb, turned out to be a sheep…..
Thank you for editing your post :) I hope we'll see you here again, at some point, with a Lambsfoot :)
What are we looking at there?

Two nice knives, but look to be a clip point and a sheepsfoot, neither of which belong in this thread.

Exactly what I was getting at Jeremy.;):)

Now, now....

Good morning Guardians, great to see the community spirit in this thread :)

It made a nice change to go and see a movie midweek. We went to a cinema slightly out of town, really smart place, with great reclining seats, and empty! :D  Movie was OK, but you won't miss much waiting to watch it online/TV/DVD. Coming back was a little surreal, they built a major road over there, getting on for a year ago now, dead handy for getting to the cinema, but strangely, it's still not showing up on Satnavs or Google Earth, let alone maps. Normally, even at 11.30pm, you'd expect a big 4-lane highway to have a certain amount of traffic, but there was virtually none. Be a great place to film a post-apocalypse movie! :D

I haven't had much time to go shopping for groceries this week, and also noticed I was running low on beer, so thought I'd order a grocery delivery from one of the big supermarkets here. Booked it for 5.30pm this evening, and received a couple of texts and emails confirming that, even had the name of the guy bringing it, and details of the vehicle. Guess what happened at 5.30AM...my doorbell rang??!!! 😖

By the time I'd put everything away, I figured I might as well get up, and have my morning toast 😒 I hope everyone has made it through the week OK, and that you have an easy Friday. Thought I'd stick with my ebony Charlie lamb :) Have a good one Guardians

That's a bakers delight with your fine ebony perched on top. I can taste it now, smothered with jam Jack.

Thanks Bob, bread seems to be having something of a renaissance 🙂👍
I used to go the the movies a lot on Tuesday mornings. Have not been for ages, can't find a decent movie anymore.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I haven't been for a while myself Leon. We watched about 10 trailers, and none of the movies looked worth seeing. It got cheap here, just before the pandemic, and was only about a fiver to go. Gone up to £15 now! 😳

We have a theater close by that actually serves you food and alcoholic drinks. It helps the viewer tolerate mediocre performances.

Yes, many of them here serve alcohol now, though it tends to be poor quality, and vastly overpriced. The food seems to be limited to popcorn, hotdogs, and nachos, though the same is true of them too! :D The increase in admission prices here concerned me, because it might mark yet another nail in the coffin of the movie theatre :( With the increased accessibility of home cinema, and cheap online access to movies, the movie theatres already have enough competition, and I wonder if it's a sign they are throwing in the towel. Most of us have seen the sad decline of the 'picture palace' throughout our lifetime, and I think it would be a very sad day, if they closed down altogether :( Maybe the ones here are missing a trick, and they need to look at giving customers a better experience. The seats are certainly more comfortable, but some of the screens are not much bigger than the TVs some folks have at home (slight exaggeration there)! I certainly wouldn't eat there either! I love to go to see movies on a really big screen, but with some, it really doesn't matter so much, and I would rather watch them in the comfort of my home. I sure hope things are better in the USA

Both large and boutique theaters seem to have an ebb and flow with regards to attendance in my area, as well as, life span.
I see a mad rush to see a new " block buster" then very low attendance for quite
The cost does seem to drive people away because of the mediocre offerings.
I must say the burgers, pizza, etc is acceptable at my theater. I have even enjoyed a Hennessey cognac.
Well, let's go and enjoy the day Jack.

That sounds a lot more healthy than here Bob, but maybe it is just where I live, it could be very different in London for instance. I'm just waking up in Charlie's with a second coffee 🙂👍
