Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It'll be competition for Wrights. Look forward to seeing the finished article and I wonder if it'll influence Wrights offerings any.

In terms of competion, I don't think it'll make any difference to Wright's, we are a very small market for them  Their competition is TEW and Eggington, and they not only have a cordial relationship with them, they even make knives for them  Nor do I think a GEC Lambsfoot, which I'm sure will be excellent, will influence them either

One of my great-uncles was a tackler in one of the cotton mills in Leigh in Lancashire. Not a single one of them chaps had full length fingers

 o_O

A tenner for beans on toast? I think my grandad would say "Thi ben 'ad lad" :D

Bean 'ad, bean bloody robbed!

Everyones doing rosewood today so I thought I'd join in

Aye sorry I should of elaborated really.
It's whats known as 'Rostherne Celtic Head'. It sits within the churchyard of St' Mary's Parish Church in the village of Rostherne in the county of Cheshire.

It's carved from sandstone and purportedly shows the Celtic horned god Cernnunos. It was supposedly recovered from the nearby Rostherne Mere (here in the UK a mere is a natural lake formed about 12000 years ago during the last ice age). If all this is true it could be anywhere from 2000 to ?5000 years old.

LOL! Thats great Dave! Really interesting. I wonder if in 2000 years time some BF lambsfoot Guardian will be balancing their lambsfoot knife on that for a quick photo...?? :D
I don't like modern art particularly but I do like modern sculptures when there out in the open. If ever you get to Melbourne in Australia you can spend all day tracking down some really cool modern street art.
There's an interesting sculpture park in Mr Black's home county:

I have a question when everyone receives Ashley's Choice, will they let the blade patina or try to keep it shiny?
As for myself, I am undecided.

I suspect that the answer to that will vary Dave :) Unless they're used on food, in my experience, those polished blades stay pretty shiny anyhow. I have really noticed a difference on the unpolished blade of my rosewood Big 'Un

Yeah, I really didn't want to start a survey. Folks I was just thinking out loud:oops: let's just let nature take its course, your answers will eventually shine or not, through your posts. :D
