Thanks for all the kind words about my truck-meets-tree-limb incident, guys. I called our insurance provider today and sorted out what I needed to do to get it fixed up. I might not have bothered, but the paint at the bottom of the dent is cracked, and I donβt need the hood to start rusting. (The front bumper already wears that Minnesota badge of honor, thanks to some rock chips in the paint that I was unaware of from when lived in Arizona. It didnβt take the road salt here long to go to work on that. Iβll probably see about getting that fixed β out of pocket, of course β when I get the hood fixed.)
I do like that truck quite a lot. Iβve had it for 8 years. Itβs a 2012, and I bought it in 2015 with only 8k miles. It just recently passed 100k miles.
Hereβs a picture I took right after we moved to Minnesota. I do my best to wash it regularly in winter, but honestly, itβs amazing the whole thing isnβt rust the way they salt the roads!
Thatβs awesome! Well done Jeremy, and congrats Paul!

Hang in there, Todd!
Interesting post, Jack. Thanks for sharing!
I think the closest thing youβll get to a patina on those bolsters is to carry it around unprotected in your pocket with your keys and all that.
Hope youβre feeling better, Paul. Coincidentally, Iβve got something similar going on. Woke up in the middle of the night feeling awful, and have had a pretty rough day. I havenβt been able to eat hardly anything. Iβm feeling slightly better at the moment, hoping itβs just one of those 24-hour things, and that I can get some good rest tonight.
Thatβs cool, Mike. I have an old Late Show with David Letterman mug that belonged to my dad. (He didnβt drink a ton of coffee, but that was one of his favorite shows.)
Jack, did you mean to say youβve never had a
bad cup of coffee at Charlieβs, or are you trying to gaslight us?
No new Lambsfoot photo for today, so hereβs something recycled.
