Looks like a good day Steve, and it's always a good day to carry a Lambsfoot! :D ;)
Malaysian rubber! I had to look it up again. It's a material I used to see a lot of in old mysteries.

Yes, kind of archaic don't you think Jer? I was surprised not just by the fact it is still in use, but that they haven't given it some sort of trademarked name like Dentoid or something! 🤣 A fine-looking pair my friend :)

Gotta love that coffee mug. 19 is looking great David.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hope your week is off to a good start Guardians :) I started mine with a walk down to Charlie's cafe, starting off to buy a large box of madjool dates for him and his family. I was slightly worried when Charlie's attractive sister-in-law thought they were a personal gift, not least since she is married and half my age, but thankfully, she didn't seem too crestfallen when I corrected her, "Por la familia"! :D ;)

After a free coffee, a croissant, and some dates, I set off to the dentist, which is incredibly awkward to get to. After explaining that I had been waiting for a call for 7 weeks, I was practically called a liar by the recptionist, who told me there was no record of this, nor of my prior appointment, nor of the 2 messages I had left last week! 😠 I finally made an appointment, but will be writing to the practice manager about their apparent poor record keeping.

I was now left having to negotiate one of the worst road junctions I have ever seen, anywhere, but eventually managed to negotiate it in one piece, and boarded a bus to town. I called in at the bank, and then the post office, picked up some shopping, and a few things in the market. I stopped to talk to a homeless guy I know, and then caught another bus to the other side of town, where I did some more shopping, and also bought some Bulgarian Lev for my holiday in May (I'd have been better buying them a week ago, because the British Pound is on its backside!).

Next, I called in at the supermarket, where I had a call from Tool Man. By the time I had paid for my groceries, it was after 1.00pm, and I still hadn't had lunch, so I decided to call in at one of my favourite Thai places. I enjoyed a bottle of Change with Massaman tofu, rice, and vegetable spring rolls, but while I was eating, the weather changed, and I had to return home in pouring rain :( Don't think I'm going to be eating much later! :D ;)

HHB and food looking good!

No it's Bog Oak.

I like it

I decided to buy some dental cement to include in my travel kit, and was looking at a couple of kits in a local pharmacy. I noticed that one of them contained gutta percha, the material Sheffield cutlers used to beat scabs (and vice versa) in the 18th century. Not knowing that it could be used to repair teeth, as well as the reverse, I was quite amazed to see gutta percha  The pharmacist didn't seem particularly interested :D:thumbsup:

Don't orthodontists use that to fill the nerve canal when they do a root canal?

Thank you, Jack. :)

That looks good... how's the new Lent Eating Plan agreeing with you?
I've been a bit busy, but I've honestly barely noticed, which is strange. I guess it'd be different if I was on vacation or travelling, where it might have been much more difficult, or if I'd been going to a friends for dinner, but to say it's been much easier than expected, is an understatement. It's the easiest Lent I've done by far

I don't think it would have been as easy in Bulgaria though! :D

Thought we worked it out that you were only going to drink beer in Bulgaria. No meat in a pint. :D
