Hello Guardians, went to a district retirement party last night for a close family friend. Didn’t know until last night, but seems I’m the most senior staff member in the district, officially the old guy! Even the folks retiring have less seniority than I do.
Spring break has arrived! Time for Mrs. Bigfish and I to get out of town for some fun.

Wow, 30 years!!!! A great milestone. My own kids drive me crazy. Couldn't imagine a classroom of other people's kids for 30 years. Congrats, Todd.

I was glad to be able to take advantage of the glorious weather Paul. I love that pub for its location, but when I've eaten there in the past, I've found it overpriced, with stingy portions, and mediocre food. My guest and I were both really pleasantly surprised though. I enjoyed the chilli, and the portion size was quite sufficient, even if the prices aren't any lower. Hoping to get out that way again soon

Hope everyone is having a good day Beautiful weather here today, and I didn't even take a jacket out with me. I had a few issues with my camera/lens though, and wasn't very pleased with the pics I got. Had a late lunch at one of my favourite country pubs, and the Five Bean Chilli was very good As was the pint! Chocolate cake was a belated birthday gift

Was just sitting here having a coffee and thinking, which is a rare occurrence for me and getting rarer, but this could be the only thread on the Forum which is virtually self regulating. By that i mean, i'm sure the Mods peruse it but it is generally left to the Guardians themselves to monitor it. I cannot recall, or at least not for a long time any of the Moderators having to interject in any posts. Interesting.

LOL! When I was in my early twenties, I was a youth worker, and would regularly have charge of up to 70 kids, from pre-school to 16, and take them all over the place. I loved the job at the time, but the very thought of it makes me sweat today! If I look after my mate's 3 kids for a few hours, I am exhausted!

Thank you Dwight, that's very kind of you That's a great pic of your spalted Lamb my friend Looks like a quality dart there I remember getting a cheap dartboard and set of darts from Green Shield Stamps as a youngster! Just about wore it out, but I have hardly ever played as an adult

I went to bed early, but then woke up just after midnight It got cold here overnight, and today it is raining, so I'm glad I took advantage of the sunshine yesterday I need to call in at the doc's to order a prescription, so I might call in at Charlie's after Reckon I'll get a shave first Hartshead Barlow again Have a good day Guardians

Yes, with the exception of one year where I taught a required US history class to juniors in high school in my second year of teaching. Now, that was challenging!
We went to a hockey game last night with an old friend and had a great time.

I loved the job at the time, but the very thought of it makes me sweat today! If I look after my mate's 3 kids for a few hours, I am exhausted!

I went on a field trip with my son and his 1st grade class to the zoo last year. I really couldn't tell the difference between the animals in the cages and the kids from his class All the credit in the world for folks that take care of and teach the youth.
