Wonderful acquisition Jeff and a worthy trio. He really went all out in exotic covers. I've never heard of Ringed Gidgee. And I had never heard of Afzelia either.

LOL! :D I used to drink at a bar close to that place in Leeds, and from what I saw of the folks staying at that "art hostel", (which wasn't there long), there were some very strange things happening there! 🤣;):thumbsup:

Blimey! o_O My day could not have going better, when halfway through a post in the EDC thread, I glanced up to see a courier coming up my path with a package. Still wearing my reading glasses, I ran downstairs to get the door, stepped out to sign for the package, felt a gust of wind, and heard the door close behind me! :eek: Not only did I not have my keys, I didn't have my glasses, or more importantly my phone! 😖 I was still expecting another parcel, so waited a while, but the guy was late, and for all I knew wasn't going to show. My neighbours were sat out, so I told them the situation, and asked them to take my parcel. Wolfie has my spare keys, but without my phone there was no way to contact him, so dressed in a T-shirt, I walked a mile down to my mate Matt's house, as he has Wolfie's number. When I got to the house, Matt's wife was in, but Matt was at work until 5.00pm. She texted him, and he gave me a call on his wife's phone, when he finished work. Fortunately, he only works about a mile from where Wolfie lives, so he rang Wolfie, and headed round. I walked back home, to learn that for some reason the courier had refused to leave my parcel with my neighbours! I have to eat before 4.30pm, otherwise I get stomach problems, but by now it was after 5.30pm. Fortunately, Matt turned up before too long, and I was finally able to get in, and rustle up something to eat, but now I'm 3-4 hours behind with everything! I won't be making the same mistake in a hurry! :rolleyes:

Oh man Jack!! I have done too many times myself- I am glad no one had a tape recorder- my last time I tossed up the hassle of doing the same to get hold of Sue ( Who's phone number I don't know off by heart ) or break a window- but then thinking of just how expensive Glass is these days- went through the same major inconvenience!!

I am sure it's these times added up together that make us guys die that little bit younger 🤣

Wow!! :eek: I'm glad they made it Steve, and that really is a terrific trio of vintage Lambs :cool: Great pics of them too, the condition of them looks incredible :) I'm not sure about the middle knife, Holborn is an area in London, so possibly a factor or shop? Any idea what the second line says? It's certainly a nice-looking knife :) Amazing Oates, what a find! Congratulations buddy :thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, I was hoping to meet up with my mate Wolfie this morning, but being locked-out yesterday cost me three hours, and I have too much to catch up with. I also need to stay in for the courier, and I think I have another couple of packages coming too. That courier system is a racket, they didn't turn on time, refused to leave my parcel with my neighbours, and now they're trying to charge me £10 to deliver it, on top of what I've already paid! :mad: I was pretty beat last night, after all the extra walking about I'd done. Glad I had friends to help me out :) Apart from that, I had a pretty good day yesterday, and received a new Lamb in the mail, which I didn't get a chance to photograph. I'll just post a simple indoor pic... :eek: o_O😍🥰🥳

This chilli jam seems to be quite popular here, judging by the amount of places I see selling it. There do about a hundred different varieties though, so it's a bit hard to see the wood for the trees. I thought I'd start with the original, which is tasty, but really doesn't have much heat, and it's about £5 for a small jar :( Tried it out with a couple of small pork pies ;) :thumbsup:
