Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

My gas feller turned up at 3pm, nice polite guy, who was swift and efficient :) I gave him a bottle of beer to take with him  Still nice outside, but it'll be tea-time soon, and I need to get my kitchen right again

Well, it's not a lambsfoot, but Eric ea42 ea42 posted a video over on the Shop Talk subforum about the last Sheffield blade forger (as in smithing a blade instead of stock removal) that I think you all might be interested in.
Yes, hand forging went on in Sheffield much later than many people suppose Tyson :) I have posted that video before, which is filmed at the Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet in Sheffield, and in Bridlington, on the Yorkshire coast. A lot of Sheffield folks used to retire to 'Brid', and when I was a kid, during the 'Wakes Weeks' when many Sheffield factories closed down for a fortnight, it was like Sheffield-on-Sea'! :D Eric's voice reminds me of the voice Stan Shaw would put on if anyone pointed a camera at him, attempting to drop his local accent, and 'putting on his posh voice', as we used to say! :D :) Eric says he used to do 2 gross a day in his heyday, at 14 knives to the dozen, so that's 336, rather than 200. Sheffield cutlers always had to work fast to earn their bread, because they were either 'on piece work' or entirely self-employed
Here's some lambsfoot knives:
