Thank you Dwight, me too, I wish I could remember the name Rodgers assigned to the range of knives. Cool pic my friend, you have an interesting coin collection
Hello Guardians. Had a busy day filled with yard work and errands. Got the '19 today. Thanks again, Jack. This knife is very special to me. Have a good rest of your day friends.

I'm glad you're enjoying the knife Paul, nice pic :) I hope you got to put your feet up, after all your efforts :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is doing OK. I'm still working here, but I also arranged, last week, to go for a walk with my elderly neighbours John and Bridget, and have a light lunch. I just hope John puts his hearing-aid in for once! 😖 Carrying my Hartshead Barlow for the first time in a week :) Have a good day Guardians

Very nice picture of your lamb Jack.😃
Enjoy your time out with neighbors.

Good morning Guardians. Yesterday I had a very good day on the links. Weather was superb too. This morning; not so great but we need the rain. We have a large pine tree in the back yard that is going to be removed. Too close to the house and if , during a hurricane, it ever came down on our home it would be disasterous. Was going to be cut down today but got rescheduled for tomorrow and I fear it won't happen because of the wet ground and the problems that issue presents to any machinery that is going to be brought in. Tearing up our yard is a "NO BUENO". My HHB posing with the offending pine tree.IMG_4142 copy.jpgIMG_4144.JPG

It's a shame it has to be cut down but better safe than sorry !

I agree with Steve Bill, and that's a cool pic of your Barlow :) I hope everything goes well

Great picture Jack !

Thanks a lot buddy :)

Nice-looking sammich! :D And your Lambsfoot too, of course! ;)

I had a 4 or 5 mile walk with my neighbours, with a lunch-stop and coffee halfway through (guess who paid for that! :D). They're a bit like the British Royal Family, my neighbours, and John reminds me of the late Duke of Edinburgh , he kind of wanders around, approaching strangers, and saying slightly strange things, which are sometimes unintelligible, and sometimes cause offense. Like the former Queen Mother, Bridget eats like a horse. Neither of them ever seem to carry cash! John has been somewhat eccentric all the time I've known him, in the way that posh English people often are, but I fear he may be sliding into dementia. Not only does he eschew his spectacles, but he refuses to wear his hearing aid! 😖 Lunch was nice enough, a bit overpriced, but John kept getting up, and wittering away to people. He has an ironic sense of humour, which has never been very funny, but the irony only works if you realise he's joking, and it's only going to be a matter of time before he gets himself into trouble :(

Sounds like a great time, Jack. Now to the question that I am sure everyone is dying to know.........Did she get her email account sorted? 😆 🤣 😂.

That is the nicest back yard in the history of back yards, Bill. I would be useless sitting on that dock with a cigar in one hand and 🎣 in the other at all times. Stunning my friend.

LOL! :D She tried telling me that she didn't drink earlier!🤣

They're a nice couple, but bearing in mind that their son, his wife, and a couple of adult grandchildren, live at the bottom of the street, with two daughters, and additional grandchildren living close by, I'm not sure how I've become the go-to neighbour for that kind of thing! 😵

Thanks pal.
I just hope John puts his hearing-aid in for once!
My father-in-law wears his at all times and the first thing I ask him before we talk is - "are your hearing aids turned up?" because he never turns them up - says - "All that noise is very annoying."

I was working the aftermath of a tornado in Little Rock one night. The folks of a particular block in a neighborhood were standing in the street when we pulled up. They said everyone in their block was accounted for except one woman and her small child. I walked the length of a huge pine tree that had fallen on her house and found her and her child directly underneath the tree in a corner bedroom. They had not survived. Good move to remove it Bill.

You are telling my future Jack. 😁

Never a pleasant moment in those sad situations.
A fine lamb Dwight..but your friend is outstanding. Great photo...beautiful coloring.

😖 It meant for quite a frustrating conversation! During lunch, the subject of Rome came up, and I told my Barber Brian joke. John kept interrupting because he couldn't hear, and failed to understand it, while Bridget asked me if it was a true story! 🤔🤯

That's a sad tale my friend :( Around 20 years ago, my neighbour, John, without bothering to consult any of his neighbours, decided to cut down a tall Sycamore tree, which was on the edge of his garden. I wasn't aware of his plans, but I know, in retrospect, that a number of neighbours, including his son, and TWO tree surgeons, strongly advised him not to cut down the tree, since it could go almost anywhere. With a level of arrogance, which only old age has tempered slightly, he ignored their advice, and sent the tree crashing straight across the garden of the empty house next door, straight through my fence, and into my garden. I hadn't lived here long at the time, and thought I had moved two doors down from a lunatic! 🤨
Oh no! :D Great pics Dwight, you're an excellent photographer :)

The area where I went for a walk today is very close to where I live, about 10 acres of woodland and grassland, which was a real godsend during our various Covid lock-downs. While walking there, it is easy to forget that you are only a couple of miles from the city, even with the elevation. It's a great spot for wildlife, and all sorts of plants and trees go there. So, I was saddened today, to discover that they are building on part of it. Horses used to graze there, and I have regularly seen deer. I dare say, more houses will follow :(

Despite being rather pricey, the cafe we went to for lunch, didn't do table service, which, since Bridget simply sat down, and said what she'd like, and John was off irritating other customers, meant that I had to act as waiter, and make all the various runs to the counter from the outside table Bridget had placed herself at. A Spanish chap was serving the drinks, and he artistically decorated Bridget's two cup of hot chocolate

Lambsfoot content! ;)

My presence at the market will be delayed tomorrow, as I have an 11.00am doctor's appointment (just routine). In fact, I will not be seeing much of Tool Man over the next couple of weeks, as I will be flying to Bulgaria next Thursday, and back again, the week after. Tomorrow I'll be carrying Big Rose though :) If Rose were not a knife, I suspect she might be built like a brick outhouse, wear a permanent frown, and swear like a sailor! :D ;)
