Nice to see the Pile side :)

That's a good looking stag Lamsfoot model which should gain a nice warm golden brown color (but not dark) by around 50 to 75 years, and stay about the same from then on.
Yes, there were and are different colors (lighter and darker) and textures of stag which tend to look about the same for centuries.

Nobody seems to use really dark stag, as they did at one time. I keep meaning to ask Wright's if they will make me a couple up with these old scales I was gifted by @ADEE

Beautiful stag examples r8shell, 5K Qs, Half/Stop, Jack, and Travman!!!

Thank you my friend

Good morning Guardians!

Looking good Joshua

I am going to paw my AC a lot with greasy hands! ;) :D

Thanks, Gary :D When I first received it, I was disappointed that it wasn't black. Now, I actually wouldn't trade it in, I think its pretty cool.:cool:
I certainly agree, Dave. :)

Many thanks, GT. That is the motor for a Ferrari 312T model kit that I started more than 10 years ago. Thought it might be time I started working to finish it. :p:D

Super lookin' AC! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Wow, that is a super-detailed replica, FBC!!:thumbsup: Thanks for the stag lambsfoot props. :)

...
Certainly not words you see every day, but this is the Guardians thread after all! :D ;)
...
Here's a couple of pics of my duumvirate from yesterday ;)

...
It IS the Guardians thread, and the standards are elevated here; I always wonder how I managed to gain admission! :D:eek::p
Another couple of excellent pics of your lambsfoots with watery backgrounds.:thumbsup::thumbsup: Jack, you should put together a multimedia presentation of your photos of knives and water, accompanied by Handel's Water Music! ;):thumbsup:

...
Thanks GT! :) It would appear equally the same with you my friend! There’s not a bad one in the lot! :D

Yesterday was not a normal Saturday for me! I didn’t even pocket a knife! :( I won’t bore you with the details but summarize as saying for now all is well. On this Sunday morning I’m thankful for a lot of things. This is definitely not the most important, but I am very thankful for this AC! :D

I think you're right about the uniformly superior quality of this Ashley's Choice run, Ron!:cool::thumbsup:
Another great photo of yours :cool::thumbsup: (but that "for now" in your cryptic remarks about an abnormal Saturday seems kind of ominous :confused:).

Paid for my AC Lambsfoot this morning. I'm too excited to wait for it to get here, so I hope I'm not overstepping by sharing the photos Jack emailed. Let me know if you want me to take them down, Jack. I'll get some "in the wild" pictures when it arrives.

Congrats on the stag lambsfoot heading your way, Joshua; you'll have quite a varied flock with your wood, micarta, and stag versions!:cool::thumbsup::)

Great pictures from everyone!!!
Here is a picture showing a comparison of two stag handled Lambsfoot models with about 100 years between them. A Joseph Elliot on the left, with a new Wright on the right.
Both are sitting on a wonderful Yorkshire history book courtesy of Jack, although Jack knows well more than is told in the book. :)

Captivating comparison, @herder!:cool::thumbsup: Both are lovely lambsfoots!:cool:

I have a rather busy week coming up o_O I am starting off tomorrow with a trip to the post office, and then I am going over to Huddersfield, and one of the small mill towns located nearby. I won't be seeing wither ADEE or ScruffUK unfortunately, but I hope to catch up with an old friend at some point :) I'll have my ACL with me. Have a good week folks

Another pleasing pic of your ACL, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I hope your busy week is productive and enjoyable. :)

You got a nice one, and the slip is a plus, too!
Thanks, Joshua. :)

I remembered about your bubble-wrap slip just as I was packaging up your AC my friend, and couldn't bear the thought of you having to do the same again! ;) I had a search around, and the AC fitted this one (the others I had were too narrow), and I know you like RR's. I forget which model it came with, but I think I mainly bought it for the innovative slip - and then never used it  I figured that, for those who wear jeans, it was designed to slip inside the front pocket, at the outside of the leg, with the clip holding it in place, so the knife is held above other pocket contents, and the knife can just be pulled out, with the slip left in place. Glad you're having fun with it anyway, cool pics :)
...
Thanks again, Jack. :) I may try to find several slips with clips to wear simultaneously on my suspenders and make your dream of me with knife bandoliers across my chest come true! ;):D

Hey Jack, the symmetry on that stag is awesome. It doesn't set off my CDO :)

Thanks Jack Black Jack Black ! That dark stag looks very fine.

Thanks a lot guys, hopefully it will look good on a nice Lambsfoot one day :) I think it must have been cut a long time ago

LOL! Thank you my friend, that is a very ambitious suggestion, and unfortunately I think it would require broadband speeds above my current snail's pace (I can't even load my email o_O). Perhaps one day ;)

Another pleasing pic of your ACL, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I hope your busy week is productive and enjoyable. :)

Thank you GT :) I have a Physio appointment in the morning, then two meetings in different parts of West Yorkshire, a trip to the post office, and various other things, so I think tomorrow will be another hectic day

Thanks again, Jack. :) I may try to find several slips with clips to wear simultaneously on my suspenders and make your dream of me with knife bandoliers across my chest come true! ;):D

You know, if didn't feel so wonky half the time, I would actually be tempted to pick up a back roads bike.

Thanks for the compliments GT. :) I’m sorry if I’ve confused you about my Saturday but let’s just leave it at that!

That's a great pic my friend, that 'humble' rosewood looks pretty good, particularly with the polished blade :) Hope you had a good hike :)
Thanks again Jack! I did have a good hike, on the last summer-like day before the remnants of Florence arrive tomorrow.
