Sadly, there is still so much much we don't know about the Lambsfoot pattern, and possibly we will never know. Sadly, the Sheffield cutlers didn't write much down, even about such a significant pattern. All we know is that at some point in the mid 19th century, a firm started making a Lambsfoot knife, and very quickly, the pattern was so successful, that hundreds of Sheffield cutlers were making it
Very eloquent LeonHope you enjoyed your breakfast mate

Good morning Guardians, and Happy Father's Day to all the dads! It's set to chuck it down here later, but I'd like to get out and do some gardening before it comes. However, I'm still suffering a bit with my back, and don't want to make it worse, so I'll have to see. Plenty of other stuff to do anyway. The bus-drivers in Leeds go on indefinite strike today, so it's going to be an 'interesting' week. Hopefully it'll be resolved soon, unlike the Sheffield bus strike a few years back, involving the same bus company, which went on for 3 weeks, before the drivers won their case. I remember going over to Sheffield, totally unaware of the situation, and there was tumble-weed blowing through the city centre!
I thought I'd treat myself to a Double Lambsfoot Day today, been a while since The Yorkshire Rose was last in my pocket
Have a good one Guardians
