Good for you David, hope you have a great dayAfternoon Guardians! Driving over the mom's to cut the scapes off the garlic. Notice most the wheat looks awful. Corn is growing good. The pastures that haven't been over grazed are green and lush. Beautiful late spring weather today. Happy trails!

Wow! Stevo!!!!
I won't be around to see it, but all the Lambsfoot knives out there now will all be old with their own history one day . And people will be saying wish i could get one of them. History has a trend to repeat itself, and collecting Lambsfoot knives will be no different. The current QC of some being produced now may leave a lot to be desired, but history will blur all that, we all have romantic notions and memories of the past, " The Good Old Days ", some true, some just rubbish. That is my Sunday Morning rant while i'm eating sausages and eggs.I do agree about the old lambs. They have a richness to their appearance. Each, also carries a personal history,
You've got some nice ones there.I thought I would round up the flock for a pic today

Sadly, there is still so much much we don't know about the Lambsfoot pattern, and possibly we will never know. Sadly, the Sheffield cutlers didn't write much down, even about such a significant pattern. All we know is that at some point in the mid 19th century, a firm started making a Lambsfoot knife, and very quickly, the pattern was so successful, that hundreds of Sheffield cutlers were making itI wish you well and may your ship be righted soon Duncan.
I do agree about the old lambs. They have a richness to their appearance. Each, also carries a personal history, that would be interesting to know.
