Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Couldn't have described them better. I just love the sheen.
Thanks mate πŸ™‚πŸ‘
I haven't been able to eat toffee for about 50 years.:oops::oops::rolleyes:
I should have given up on it 50 years ago! πŸ˜– I have lost count of the number of crowns I've lost on the very rare occasions I've succumbed to temptation over the past 40 years πŸ™„ When the market first re-opened after the first lockdown here, in 2020, I was tempted into buying some. I had only just popped the first piece into my mouth, when a crown came out! πŸ˜–πŸ™„πŸ€”

Good morning Guardians, what a week, with the loss of of our dear brother Harvey :( It's been nice to see so many folks calling in to share their thoughts, and pay their respects  Despite the sadness, I hope everyone is doing OK, and that you have something to look forward to at the weekend :) @rockman0 Rob kindly gifted me this lovely old Alfred Blackwell Lamb a few years back, and I had already decided I'd carry it today. Great to see you call in though Rob, I hope you'll be back soon. Seeing @mitch4ging here has been quite a treat too  Have a good day Guardians, and enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot knives :)

The installation of my only crown so far was in the top three of worst pain I ever felt.
I wouldn't be surprised if I've mentioned that before.
My lower front teeth have suddenly started to chip on the inside upper edge because of the way my teeth meet. Suddenly after sixty years. Last time it was two hundred something to patch them with blue-light cold weld as seen on TV. I figured 300 by now, and maybe it's worth it for a couple of years of intactness, but I was a little off. It's $674 now.
So I have a sharper edge for doing an Ozzy Osborne on a woodchuck, should that ever prove necessary.

Yikes! 😱 Sorry to hear that Jer ☹️ You wouldn't guess it from the state of my teeth, but I've generally been lucky, and largely pain-free at the dentist, which is probably the main reason I don't mind going. When I come out, I am usually still laughing and joking with the dentist, which is probably mildly disturbing for some of the patients sat in the waiting room! 😁

You have surely been thrown out of the American Society of Vegans Jer! πŸ€£πŸ‘

Dull, humid, and raining on and off here today, but I've had a nice enough day anyway :) I started off by walking down to Charlie's, for a coffee and a croissant...

Then caught a bus into town.

Despite it's name, and historic frontage, we'll not call The Three Legs 'Charlie's Pub', because it's a real dump! I don't know what time they open (or 'unlock'), but it was already busy at 11.00am. Usually, there is a bunch of drunks smoking outside, but the rain had temporarily kept them inside! The Three Legs is situated on one of Leeds' oldest streets, but very much like other pubs of its type, it has gambling establishments on either side, and there's a payday loans and pawn-brokers next to one of those. By lunchtime, there'll be middle-aged drunks staggering around outside, and fighting with each other :(

Further up the hill is another old pub, The Horse & Trumpet, with a reputation, which is only a little better

I imagine these shoes, sitting atop a bin, could tell a tale! :D They don't look to have been worn though πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I took a few more photos, while I did some shopping ;)

I was going to get a slice of pizza from this newly-opened place, but I realised it was a franchise, and the staff seemed clueless, and the pizza didn't actually look that good

I remember when ice cream vans all carried traditional Italian surnames. In Sheffield, there was Manfredi's, Sanella's, Cuneo's. There was some rivalry between them, but not like in Glasgow, where there were 'ice cream wars', which weren't anywhere near as much fun as they sound!

In an independent maker's shop in the Grand Arcade above, I found this wee cake fork that I thought might make a nice gift for some cake lover :D

I called in the small, dedicated hot sauce shop, looking for a few replacement items. I was unlucky with most of them, but I did get some replacement Marie Sharp's :) I was after a hot, sweet sauce to have with my sausage sandwiches, and the knowledgeable proprietor recommended this one as his best. I buy a lot of sauces, which should fit that category, but find the chilli barely present. I tasted a sample, and this one is gorgeous! I'm looking forward to trying more of Mr Vikki's Hot Coriander Sauce πŸ˜‹

Having whet my appetite, and lucked out on the pizza, I thought I'd go for Thai πŸ˜‹ Unfortunately, the waitress misheard me, and I got a small bottle of Chang, instead of a large one :(

Really cool pic Pete

Wow, small world!  Fantastic pics Daniel :)

Happy Double Lambsfoot Day JJ! πŸŽ‰Two lookers there :thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend. It looks like another warm, sunny day here, and I am heading over to the other side of Leeds to meet a friend for coffee, and visit Kirkstall Abbey, not a bad way to start the week ;) Carry my Albers Lamb again, in the hope I can get some pics :) Hope y'all have a good day Guardians

Thanks Jack, but even less time recently. I'm sure it'll level out again soon.
