Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, what a week, with the loss of of our dear brother Harvey :( It's been nice to see so many folks calling in to share their thoughts, and pay their respects  Despite the sadness, I hope everyone is doing OK, and that you have something to look forward to at the weekend :) rockman0 Rob kindly gifted me this lovely old Alfred Blackwell Lamb a few years back, and I had already decided I'd carry it today. Great to see you call in though Rob, I hope you'll be back soon. Seeing mitch4ging here has been quite a treat too  Have a good day Guardians, and enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot knives :)

Awesome image Jack!!!

Speaking of awesome images, Harvey was the "King of the Hill!" Between you and Harvey I have seen an incredible amount of fabulous knives and super tasty treats!

Harvey will be sorely missed...

Hope everyone is doing well and having a good start to their weekend. At my parent's house. If I would of left this mess in the living room I would be having a bad day 😆 🤣 😂 . The grand babies got them right where they want em.

Carrying the '19 today.

Looks like a great day Jack. I’m still enjoying some time off, fortunately. I did go through more than two hundred emails this morning however. That will make for a more pleasant return to work next week.

I have a new lamb in the flock. This Rogers. It’s smaller than the standard size lamb. I thought the horn looked mighty fine.

Everyone have a safe, fun Friday.

That's a lot of emails Pete! I hope you're getting to put your feet up otherwise mate, and enjoying your time off :) Congratulations on your new addition, that looks impressive

Superb! Cosimo has done a great job there, my friend, congratulations :)
Thanks for taking us along on your day Jack ! 👍
Thanks Steve, it only occurred to me, yesterday, that I rarely take photos of the city centre streets, which are now so familiar to me
Thank you kindly Todd. I still have ice in the cooler and I slipped a few beers in there so this afternoon will be spent investigating cold beers. 😎😆
That sounds like a plan Pete! :D ;)
Afternoon Guardians! Another hot one around these here parts. OMJ Lamb today.

I am still carrying my Hartshead but have taken little photos of it because of my Phone camera lenses being smashed :( - loving seeing our other friends Hartsheads out!
That's good to hear pal :) Incredible isn't it Duncan, so great to see? Thank you :) I'm glad to hear you're still enjoying your Barlow :) Sorry to hear about your phone camera though :(
I have been struggling a bit lately and having a climb up - and reading this has really whacked me for a six, Harvey was a great guy, although I dint know him, I thought his posts were simply excellent - I love the shots he took as well.
To my Traditional Friends who knew Harvey I am so sorry to hear this news, I hope that he friends and Family are ok with much support around them.
You have climbed some mountains in your time Duncan, and I'm sad to read that you're still struggling mate. Very sad news about Harvey, and quite out of the blue by all accounts :(

We certainly are, some really nice stuff being produced now. See what you've started. 🤣🤣🤣🥰
LOL! :D

Thanks JJ :) I don't think there was anybody to touch Harvey when it came to capturing the sheer yumminess of a cake and Lambsfoot :) We are lucky to have some really good photographers, not just with an eye for a great shot, but who really put in a lot of effort to capture something stunning  I am often amazed by the photos posted here :) For my part, I just point the camera, and hope I get lucky! 😁

Yeah, it's all your fault, Jack!
Sorry! 🤣 We certainly wouldn't be seeing the current international Lambsfoot renaissance without you guys - the Guardians! 😊😊:thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, you fellers are going to cause me to need to get a new hat! :D Hope everyone is doing OK, and that you have something good awaiting you this weekend :) The days when I was out hiking every Saturday are just a pleasant memory I'm afraid, and I don't really have many plans for the weekend, but I'm sure I'll find something to do :) Carrying the first US production Lambsfoot today - by our very own Charlie waynorth waynorth - a real milestone in the history of the pattern. 2019 sure was an amazing year for the Lambsfoot  Have a great day Guardians

It's great to see the Lamb gaining traction in the US !

Charlie Lamb looking good as always 👍

Please have a safe and enjoyable holiday.View attachment 2237063

Cool pic Bob !

Headed to our club, Cliff Dwellers, to have brunch and watch NASCAR from 22 floors above Grant Park in Chicago today. Not a huge fan but it should still be a great experience. If I brought a knife this would be the only legal one I could carry in the city.

Have a great time Gus, but it sounds like your knife laws are getting as restrictive as the ones here ☹️

Thanks Steve, though I must confess that I made a mix-up when I was coming out, and I have actually pocketed my jigged bone Charlie Lamb 🤔😁👍
2.5" blade?

Old Toffee Wings looking good Jer 😎👍

Thanks Jack, I think Chicago has had a 2.5 inch restriction for a long time. I don’t tend to worry about it that much but to tend to grab the smaller knives I own if I’m going to carry one while there. But 2.5 is sort of rediculous. 3 or 3.5 would certainly be nice and open up a lot more options to carry.

I'm surprised Gus :( Here it is 3" slipjoint, without any excuse needed, but the 3" is measured from the front of the tang to the point.
What a great problem to have Jack ! 🤣
LOL! :D Yeah, I got over it Steve! 🤣

I decided to head into town for something to eat, and to pick up a few things. First disappointment of the day was finding a slip from UPS (not even a proper company here) claiming to have tried to deliver a package - have the same every time with them 🤬 Second disappointment was realising I was carrying my jigged bone Charlie Lamb, rather than my ebony one, but that was easy to get over :) With UPS, I'll likely be messing around all week

I decided to get something to eat in the market, as I needed a couple of things from there. Golden Gordon and Chip Shop Carlton were 'standing', as market traders call it here, so I had a chat to them. There was a time when the outdoor market was heaving on Saturdays, but that was a long time back :(

Inside the market there was a combined vintage fair and Goth fair  I took a couple of pics of the tamer stuff in the main market hall :D

Hunger pangs led me to the Tunisian food stall! :)

While I was eating, a pair of young people in their early 20's sat down at the next table. They were enthusiastically talking about going to a festival, and the odd bits of camping equipment they'd need to buy. After 10 minutes of this, she announced, "I'm taking my own tent, I hate sharing." And here's me disappointed about pocketing the wrong pocket knife! :D Things went kind of quiet after that ;)

My lamb has been busy in the kitchen. The bolsters must be coated, still bright copper.
Your lamb is definitely not a disappointment in the looks department.
What a feast to be relished Jack. Glad there was one positive to your day.
