No my friend- not too kind, we at times don't praise people or tell them how we feel- unfortunately we await for a Eulogy to do this- when it's far too late, and I really do appreciate what you do Jack- and I think the wider population of Traditionals would have no hesitation in agreeing![]()

I agree whole heartily!![]()

Yeah, it's a great cast!Sounds like a nice evening. I like Con Air (in an enjoyable-bad-movie sort of way), but that accent (I think it’s supposed to be Alabama?) is rough. Maybe he got a reference for a dialect coach from Dick Van Dyke.![]()
Thank you very much, Jack!!! Love the images of the cutlery production images and the beauty shot of your K'roo!![]()

Many thanks JJ, and congratulations on your sweet new Lambsfoot, very cool
Great to see you here my friend
JJ, I am glad you captured a new lamb. It is looking mighty fine.

I like that unique green coat José.
Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that your week ahead is looking good. I'm hoping we're going to be getting a bit less rain today, and that some of you folks get a bit more of your share. As we approach the end of July, apart from my trip to Whitby with Mr & Mrs Tool Man, the looming calendar event is, of course, Yorkshire Day, on August 1st. I'll be doing a giveaway, as usual, so those of you in the know might want to be stocking up on spuds, and everyone else might want to go back a year in this thread, and review the fun and festivitiesCarrying my Albers Lamb today, and starting my week with a couple of bagels
Have a good week Guardians

Is it almost Yorkshire Day again? How time flies.YORKSHIRE DAY GIVEAWAY
The smell of whippets is on the wind again my friends! Yorkshire Day approaches! It's time to dust off your clogs, flatten out your flat-cap, and unleash your inner ferret! Gather ye spuds, for, once again, for more years than anyone, (certainly me), can remember, the gauntlet is being thrown down for The Annual Chip Butty Challenge!
Please join me on August 1st to celebrate Yorkshire Day, by putting together one of Northern England's finest dishes, the legendary chip butty!

As if that feast isn't enough, there's the bonus of a giveaway. Make your chip butty, and post a pic here, with your Lambsfoot, from 12.01am to 11.59pm on August 1st, for a chance to win. Show some extra Yorkshireness, and your name may go in the cap twice! The giveaway is open to anyone who has ever posted in this thread prior to this one. If you're not a regular poster, please provide a link to your last post (you can find your posts by using the search function)
The prize this year is a knife from my collection, which I acquired from John Maleham, former owner of A. Wright & Son, in 2017. John had managed to get hold of a few pieces of decent vintage Sambar stag, and had made up a couple of Lambsfoot knives that I bought off him. I asked John to let me know if he managed to obtain anymore stag, which eventually led to the Ashley's Choice and Hartshead Barlow knives. This knife is the best of the two knives that I bought from John, and was made by Wright's best cutler. It is on the same (small) frame as the AC. I've only carried it a few times, and it's as new

Nobody will know if you make the butty and take the picture early! Is it almost Yorkshire Day again? How time flies.
I'll try to post then, but my mother is coming to visit on the first and as you can imagine, I don't want to get scolded for "always messing with your phone and social media"
If anyone is on the fence about Jack's very generous giveaway, here are pictures (five years old, pre-patina) of the second best knife from that run:

I like your spirit!Off to google to find out what this marvelous-looking sandwich is. It looks like two of my favorite foods put together… chips and buttered toast… so the prize might be the food itself!
Until my research is done, here’s a pic of what’s in the pocket today (and most days since I got it to be honest)

Good question. It's a vegetarian dish, so that's alright. But is it still a chip butty if made with whole wheat bread? That's nice of your mother to come to spend Yorkshire Day with you Rachel! What do you think she'll make of a chip butty?!
