Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Hope everyone is having a good day :) After leaving Charlie's this morning, I headed into town, and did a bit of shopping before going to get a haircut. Took a few pics as I wondered round the city centre.

After getting my haircut, I walked down to the market, to buy some bread, and a few other provisions...

I stopped for a drink and one of my favourite sausage rolls, before heading back home...

Back home, I put my shopping away, put the bins out, and took my old desk chair down the road for a neighbour. Then Wolfie came over, with his youngest lad, and his best mate, and we went to the park. We sat on a bench, and drank coffee, while the kids played, and then Wolfie dropped me off at home. First sunny day we've had in a month, so it's been nice to get out in it :)

The forecast for tomorrow, market day, is reasonable too, but I've just spoken to Tool Man and he's feeling under the weather, so doesn't think he can make it :( Have to say if it was anyone else, yours truly for example, 'knocking' with anything short of bubonic plague, he'd be slagging them to the heavens  Must be getting soft in his old age 🤣 I don't know when he was going to let me know if I hadn't rung him, selfish %£&@, but I can find something else to do ;)

Nice to see such clean streets and walkways. I do so dislike seeing litter on a towns byways/walks.

Good morning Guardians...or afternoon which ever it may be. Sorry for being absent so long. Have a lot of catching up to do. This Covid bug really has me down and out. The meds probably are contributing too. Slowly getting better so I got my HHB out and oiled it up.

OK, now how can I attach a photo? Can someone chime in? I no longer have an "attach file" button.

Good to see you back, Bill. Hope the worst is over.
As for posting a pic, did you have a paid membership that expired?

We have Special Needs Scott and his brother street-sweepers to thank Bill :D Me too, though I think I hate it even more in the countryside :(

It's good to see you here Bill, and I'm glad that you're on the mend. I hope that you're fully recovered soon

For me, the thought of the colonoscopy was worse than the actual procedure. I also didn't do any anesthesia so as soon as I got my pants put on I was on my way for the rest of the day.
Tool Man is always going in for one

I'm glad you are continuing to improve Bill.👍🏻

Nice Steve, I like that rustic look. Hope your report is positive tomorrow.

Thanks Bob !
Thanks a lot Steve :) If Toolman is still malingering, I'll probably still go down for a bit ;) Before I agreed to go to Whitby, he offered to take some of stuff (beer, and a warm coat, for round the campfire) over for me, and I'm going to be rather stuffed myself now

Congratulations on the new arrival Steve, but sorry to hear about the blade wobble, even today I think that is very rare on a Sheffield knife. Did you manage to sort it out OK? Good luck tomorrow mate 🤞

Thanks Jack, I was able to get rid of most of the wobble but the W&T has suffered a bit.

The prep is worse than the procedure for sure. I would want to do it without anesthesia though. My friend did it that way and regretted it.

Well, tried something I've never had before: a "fluffernutter".

(Always finding good recipes here!) My usual peanut butter has been Laura Scudder's, which is all natural: just peanuts and a little salt. The oil separates, and you have to stir the contents of the jar. Went with the more popular JIF and bought some Jet-Puffed marshallow creme. (The lambsfoot is merely posing, as it deferred to a butter knife for the spreading honours.) I may have been a bit heavy on the marshmallow creme, as it "overflowed" overnight in the ziplock bag I put it in.

Now the lamb did the cutting here.

Reyt chuffin' tasty. Probably won't replace my usual accompaniment to peanut butter: Bonne Maman fruit spread (mostly strawberry or blueberry). But I'll try it again!

Good for you Vince, that's a great view my friend - a reyt chuffin' great review! 🤣 😊

Hello everyone! I believe this is broken in enough to call it my own now.

A bit of sanding on the tang, lots of 3in1 and working it back and forth. Lots of fruit and veggies to season up the blade. Finally cleaned it all out yesterday and put a few drops of this awesome grease into it. Smooth as silk now!

Oh that looks wonderful. I just finished my lunch and you have made me hungry already!

For wooden Wednesday I got the ebony in the pocket. View attachment 2265020
That is a great looking knife. I like the bolsterless action going here who made this one?

Jack that bone is something else! I'm not sitting outside anywhere today and even pushed off some outdoor items in the list at work. it's downright ugly outside. Bright, hot, humid... In fact I might move to Alaska. Today.

tried something I've never had before

I can't do it. 🤣😂. I'm a jelly kinda fella. Lol

Glad you have your lamb working to your satisfaction Rick.👌
