Fantastic post Steve, what a great effort!Nah then, ow do Guardians ! I was chuffed with my Chip Butty as it was right good scran.
Assemblage of the butty, I had some proper white bread this year which made all the difference. I also ended up adding more butter this year. The results were excellent, much taster than last years which was on wheat bread.

I needed some protein so I fried a couple of eggs to go with it

Final spread with some of my neighbors cherry tomatoes and some Yorkshire gold to go along with it. I tried some Hendersons on my eggs, I really like this stuff
Didn't need the Ketchup after all

Best of luck to everyone on the GAW and a big thanks to Jack !
That's so cool!Thank you. They were definitely curious what I was up to, and it was before lunch rush so I told them the little I’ve learned about the sandwich in the past few days. I feel like one or two of them may give it a go![]()
Thanks palGreat pictures Jack !
I just moved to Idaho this summer. Good to know Five Guys will make a Chip Butty for you here.
Perhaps we can get them to add it to the menu![]()
LOL!They'll probably have to change the name. I'm not sure many folks with want to order a Chip Butty. Probably would think it is the dregs of the potato chip bag.
You're really living it up Bob!Dinner with an Irish Ale soon to come....View attachment 2271771
Fantastic Sid!Here's my pic on the dock at my Friend's place with a pair of "potato sandwiches" done Yorkshire style!

These had a bit of SouthWestern spice for a nice mash-up of South Texas and Yorkshire!
Debating a French Taco for later today with the remaining "Potato logs" and a pair of chicken tenders too! Is it sacrilege to do one of those with a Sheffield Lambsfoot?![]()
I'm busy looking for my cholesterol pills right now.LOL!I was watching a Marlow film from the early 70's, The Long Goodbye, a few months ago, and was amazed to see signs for both steak and chips, and fish and chips, in his local bar

Happy Yorkshire Day Everyone!
Very glad to participate today. I was so excited to try a chip butty, that I took my lunch break about an hour earlier than usual.
Living in Idaho, you’d think a potato-based sandwich would be an easy meal to find, but in the end, I had to make due by “ordering off menu”. I must say, they gave me some very strange looks at Five Guys restaurant when I asked them to butter a bun and put some fries in it! They were happy to make this for me, just mostly confused by it. They also keep malt vinegar condiment packets so I added a decent amount in there for good measure.

A lot of the farmers near me have Friesans, and they can be mean!I am a HUGE FAN of British/UK cattle breeds! The cattle across the channel to Europe proper may be popular but, the "British" are best overall IMHO. They make a simply wonderful cut of beef, unlike the faster growing meaner breeds out of Europe.
Not much of a milk cow guy, though I did spend 6 months in a dairy, but the British milk cows aren't nearly as mean as those darn Friesen/Holsteins everybody runs! Guernsey or Jersey for me!!!![]()
That's good Sid, I don't know what is yup with mine at the momentWorks fine for me but, I'm on Fiber Internet and I think he is only ~200 miles from me.
