Your welcome gents.
That's a great autumn shot there Dwight . Autumn is here in force at the mo' I'll have to try to emulate some of these great pictures.
Oh and here's a shot of HMS Warrior from Spinnaker Tower. She's still afloat and moored in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

Cool pics Joshua :) The weather has been wet and windy here today, but certainly not as bad as the forecast predicted

First day it feels like fall and first day I remember it not getting above 70 degrees since back in March, if memory serves me:confused: that's a double whammy deserving a double bock and double lambsfoot ;)

I got a new phone about a week ago. I habitually carry a camera, so this is the only time I've used the one on the phone - snapping a healthy Vietnamese lunch the other day - just found it in my Google pics :)

Just having my Sunday Sausage Sandwich :)

It's going to be stew weather here, soon. Phone's weather app says high of 87f today, low of 46f tomorrow morning. That's 30.5 to 7.7 for you furriners. :p Maybe time to make a pot of chili in the slow cooker. If I do, of course I'll take some pics of a lambsfoot at work.:thumbsup:

Not this one, I'm strictly Fahrenheit, feet and inches, pounds and ounces! :D Look forward to seeing your chilli pics Rachel

The AC Lambsfoot has scarcely left my pocket since it arrived, it is an exceptional knife and it pairs with my 2018 in Ebony as two of my favorite Lambsfoot knives.

Welcome back, Dylan! :) Sounds like you deserve a vacation, whether or not one is actually forthcoming! Fetching foto of your stag lambsfoot.:thumbsup::cool: I've taken to carrying a different lambsfoot each week as a separate category in my rotation schedule, and whatever the knife is (Black Jack, Cracker Jack, Lam Jack, Man Jack, or Union Jack), I proudly carry it in the red leather pocket slip you crafted for the 2017 horn Guardians Lambsfoots.:thumbsup::cool:

5K Qs 5K Qs Thanks for the kind words Gary! Have a great weekend! :)
Thanks, and same to you, Ron! :) How long will you be enjoying your beach-based getaway?

Hey, at least you're wearing a shirt GT! :D
...
They might be models brought in for the photo-shoot ;)
...
Thank you GT, I was so happy with the ebony (eventually!), that I must confess I have rather neglected carrying this one
...
Thanks again my friend, and thanks for showing your Union Jack :)
...
This summer, I contemplated going shirtless under my braces on a hot day, but my wife and daughter strenuously objected, and although I felt obligated to put up some resistance in the name of personal freedom, it was definitely an unflattering fashion statement!:D
I quite like the tastefully lined bolster on the 2018 run of horn lambsfoot knives.:thumbsup:
Thanks for your consistent acknowledgement of my "contributions" to this (and other) threads, Jack. :)

I am happy to report my package from our Guardian in Chief, after much frolicking about, was finally snared, subdued and placed in confinement until I was able to take it into custody. ...
For now I will post pics of the Ashley’s Choice and later each of the others. Have a great weekend Guardians! View attachment 1002355View attachment 1002356 View attachment 1002357
Congrats, Dwight, and welcome to the Guardians! That AC you received looks to be an excellent specimen (as I think they all were)!:cool::cool::thumbsup: Looking forward to eventually seeing your rosewood models as well: 0 to 3 lambsfoots in one swell foop!!:thumbsup::rolleyes:
Ah, here's a Daddy Rosewood now! ;) Striking seasonal shot of a simple, yet stately, knife!:cool::thumbsup:

How can I get some of that hubris?
:D:thumbsup:

Doubling up today

Decidedly delightful duo, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

The trays had wheels, as the Frennysh boke sayeth.
:D:thumbsup:

I sharpen my whittling blades freehand, so it's hard to say that I achieve it, but I shoot for 10-12 DPS. When I got started, as an aid for consistency, I used to put a dime on the stone and just barely overlap the spine of the knife on it before each pass. Working the math, it looks like that would have been around a 13 DPS angle with my typical whittling blades. I now freehand with the stone a bit closer to the stone, so hopefully I'm in the ballpark of where I say I'm aiming for. ;)
...
Interesting, never heard of it. Thanks for the tip, Dave.
Thanks for the reminder of your "target angle" for you whittling blades, Greg.:cool: I need to choose a blade and try some "limbo sharpening" - how low can you go? ;)
I bought a can of the Nevr-Dull Dave recommended at a hardware store when I was on vacation and had purchased some flea market knives I wanted to try to clean up. I don't think I'm as impressed as Dave is, but we may have had different tasks in mind. I wanted a product that could remove rust as well as grime, and a tiny chunk of fine steel wool I had in my toolbox was much better at rust removal than was the Nevr-Dull. (The can I bought looked like it may have sat on the shelf for decades, though.)

Don't know a thing about coffee roasting, but I like the crossed blades pic immensely!:thumbsup::cool:

Very appealing double double, Rob! ;):thumbsup:

That's thick scales....:D:cool:
:D:D Gotta agree with Will! That is some heavy-duty protection to hang on a boat intended to float!:cool:

Just been using mine to rustle up some nibbles to go with a Californian Zinfandel

Speaking of floating boats, I'm probably not drawn to California Zinfandel (Infidel?), but the "nibbles" would definitely float my boat!;)

And milking donn donn 's nautical theme for all it's worth, here's my Union Jack sitting on the dock of Cedarville Bay a couple of months ago:
