Thanks palAnother exciting day at the Leeds Market!Glad to hear you were able to wear your tweed cap, Jack. It must have been cool out — Tool Man had on a real shirt with sleeves and everything!

I'm jealous!Today I met up with @herder in nearby Excelsior, MN for lunch and a couple beers. It was a beautiful day out, and the place we went has outdoor seating right on Lake Minnetonka (they even have boat parking!). I should’ve taken some better pics, but we were having such a good time chatting about knives and everything else that I only got a quick pic of my Albers Lamb with my crispy chicken sandwich and Tool Man-sized portion of waffle fries.

Sorry your meal was disappointing Bob, rotten when you go for food, and it's poorLooks can be deceiving.I would rather have that meal you enjoyed.
Looks like a great day Barrett, to meet up with Neil, a fellow forum member.
Your Albers presents itself well.
Big company internationallyMate Coleman is an independent camping brand, made everthing from tents through to ice chests. Used to be 1 of the major outdoor brands in Australia.
Lots of competition now.
Yup!Life for sure,
Thanks MitchGreat stories Jack.
Tell special needs Scott's parents he can do it. Kudos to Scott![]()
That does sound perfect my friendA perfect afternoon combined a motorcycle ride on a beautiful day, playing with knives, and meeting a good friend for an outdoor lunch by a lake.
Barrett and I talked up a storm while enjoying cold beers and good food. I was limited on what I could bring knife-wise, but Barrett picked up the pace with several wonderful knives.

I have, at least once, but I'll go over it, briefly, againJack Black - Have you already explained how these blokes earned their monikers?
I just had to look up "nobber" in an online UK slang dictionary. Not what I expected, and I have to admit I'm still a bit confused.![]()

Yup!
Thanks MitchThey're a funny family!
Scott, and his still very fat brother, both share a bedroom in their parents' small home, well into their 40's, with no sign of moving out, and few other interests apart from stuffing their faces. So, Scott losing some weight, has been a seismic event in the household, and who knows where it could lead...I'll keep you posted mate!

Harry is an old bloke, from a small West Yorkshire (former) mining town, called Normanton. He has the broadest of Yorkshire accents. Years ago, there was a food stand in the market, which sold spicy sausage-meat balls, and Harry would always turn up with a small foil-lined bag, filled with them. He'd say, "Duz tha want 'ot ball?" We came to associate the snack with Harry, and it's how he got his name.
I've no idea what 'Nobber' actually means, as it predates my time on the market. Al, and Tool Man, and Boring Ray, had a mate called Howard, an crusty old SAS man apparently. One day, him and Al were verbally sparring, and Al called him something unrepeatable, and Howard told him, "You're worse than that, you're a nobber!" Everyone looked at each other, quizzically, and Al, apparently replied, "What the hell's a nobber?" Nobody knew, Howard said no more, the name stuck
Welcome to the Guardians KurtGreat first post, and a fine welcome Guardians

Good morning Guardians, I'm rushing here, as I have a busy day. I need to do some stuff here, then drop off some parcels, and get to the barbers before 11am. I'll keep this brief, for now, but I hope everyone has a good day, and I'll catch up with you again later

It always seemd harder on the family Mitch. I hope things work out.Yeah the temperature is better.
It is an issue close to the heart. Nephew is special needs lives with his Grandma. He will probably never work or live alone.
Turned 20 last week, 6ft & 190+kg, so well over 400lbs. The hope is 1 day maybe assisted living. Grandma is loving but way to soft. His Mum did get me to help him exercise years ago, worked for awhile but...
I digress & evening shot of BobStag.
Have a good day Jack.
