Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It's a beauty Dave!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Glad you got it before the post office workers strike, why are they striking? It certainly can't have anything to do with being overworked :D
Thank you, my friend, I know what you're saying they have to be the least efficient postal system in the free world.

Dave that is a beautiful lamb foot! Happy for you that the wait is over. :) You live in a staggeringly gorgeous locale. Reminds me of Telluride.
Jack Black Jack Black you have been posting some extraordinary scenery of late. I immediately thought of the Wizard's Quest when you mentioned the old woman who haunts the castle remains. :cool:View attachment 1007032

Another lovely pic of your AC Lambsfoot Dwight :) I am glad that you and @JohnDF remember the Wizard's Quest, it's certainly seared into my memory! ;)

Looking forward to seeing more of it - and you - Alan :)

Thank you very much :)

Great to see those my friend  I think Imgur (which I have been using myself the past few days) will give you to code, so the link displays as a photo

I'm hoping to get the waistcoat tomorrow, but purchased some braces yesterday - I'll post a pic of them later GT

Thanks my friend :D

Thanks again pal! :D

Cool pic GT  :)

Very nice Joshua, you too my friend

Great to have you back Randy :)

LOL! :D Thanks mate, nice to see you're keeping hydrated ;) :D

Beautiful photo Dwight, you've really captured it nicely

That sounds like a great day out my friend, and a lovely pic of your Ashley's Choice :)

I don't think you have ever showed a photo here, which wasn't superb :)

Why not indeed Greg? :D ;)

LOL! Great find GT :D :D

That's a great-looking knife Dwight

Unfortunately, the 'Handmade by John Maleham' stuff is just a piece of fraud perpetrated by a UK dealer. John Maleham owns the company, he doesn't make the knives.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :) My hike yesterday was a bit shorter than useful, but the weather was really good for the time of year, and I had a nice day. My back was a constant nuisance, but feels no worse today than it would have if I had stayed in the house I think :)

Few pics from my walk yesterday, including a pint in Blind Jack's in Knaresborough (had to crop the pic as someone 'bombed' it)

Great pics, Jack!

A beautiful sunrise, and a crispy fall day deserves a nice knife in the pocket. This Snakewood is going for its maiden voyage today!!

Smashing pic Charlie, hope you're having a great weekend :) Is that a new one my friend? I got one out of the Second's pile at Wright's a while back, only has a couple of surface cracks, but it kind of spoils the knife. Does yours have the file-worked back-spring?

Edit - Been so long since I carried this one, I'd forgotten about the jimping on the blade spine.

Dave, very glad to see that it finally arrived.

Charlie, I hope enjoy the SS Snakewood’s maiden voyage. :)

And, I hope everyone is having as good a Sunday as my Guardian’s Apprentice is :D:

Thank you, my friend looks like a pretty smart apprentice.:thumbsup::D

It has a plain backspring, Jack. The knife was a gift from one of our esteemed members here!
No cracks, relatively plain, but shapely. A nice pocketknife.

A kind and thoughtful gift Charlie :) Like yourself, I am not fussed about the file-work. You must have a fair few Lambsfoot knives in your collection now my friend :)

Wow, so many great pictures from WhittlinAway, 5KQs, Fodderwing, dc50. Prester John and waynorth!!!
dc50, glad to see that fine stag Wright model finally showed up, a beautiful example.
Jack, wonderful pictures and stories as always, thanks. Glad to see that a sore back doesn't slow you down much. :)

Found this picture in an article about the history of pocket knives. This is allegedly from about 800 A.D. Looks pretty lambsfootish to me!

Wow! That is incredible! Nice find PJ, thanks for posting it, do you have anymore info about the knife?

Thank you my friend :) It certainly has done in the past, but I seem to have got away lightly this time :)
