Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Looking forward to seeing more of it - and you - Alan :)

Thank you very much :)

Great to see those my friend  I think Imgur (which I have been using myself the past few days) will give you to code, so the link displays as a photo

I'm hoping to get the waistcoat tomorrow, but purchased some braces yesterday - I'll post a pic of them later GT

Thanks my friend :D

Thanks again pal! :D

Cool pic GT  :)

Very nice Joshua, you too my friend

Great to have you back Randy :)

LOL! :D Thanks mate, nice to see you're keeping hydrated ;) :D

Beautiful photo Dwight, you've really captured it nicely

That sounds like a great day out my friend, and a lovely pic of your Ashley's Choice :)

I don't think you have ever showed a photo here, which wasn't superb :)

Why not indeed Greg? :D ;)

LOL! Great find GT :D :D

That's a great-looking knife Dwight

Unfortunately, the 'Handmade by John Maleham' stuff is just a piece of fraud perpetrated by a UK dealer. John Maleham owns the company, he doesn't make the knives.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :) My hike yesterday was a bit shorter than useful, but the weather was really good for the time of year, and I had a nice day. My back was a constant nuisance, but feels no worse today than it would have if I had stayed in the house I think :)

Few pics from my walk yesterday, including a pint in Blind Jack's in Knaresborough (had to crop the pic as someone 'bombed' it)

Fantastic pic's Jack!:thumbsup: Two things, your leaves are still on the trees:eek: and is that a Raven or Crow with a white breast?
I have never seen that before. Here is a quick shot near my home on my walk yesterday.

Thanks Dave, that is some spectacular scenery :) There are so many different tree species in that valley that I took my tree ID book with me :) The raven is one of the several which belong to a crazy old bat who has set herself up at nearby Knaresborough Castle. She dresses up in the style of a Knight, has half of a dozen of the birds (mainly plain black), and has invented some guff (taken from the similar legend relating to the Tower of London) that if the ravens disappear, the castle will fall!

Three points:
1) She's only been taking the ravens there with her the past few years.
2) She takes them home at night, and she isn't there everyday.
3) Most of the castle was demolished in 1648, after the English Civil War, only a few ruins remain!

I first came across the old loon five years ago: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/round-yorkshire-with-a-knife-the-wizard’s-quest-part-1-bad-knight-in-knaresborough.1134578/

Unfortunately, the pics from that thread are no longer there, but here's one of the Bad Knight blagging two American tourists

Jack, I'm really enjoying the pictures and stories.
I remember the crazy castle lady from your quest. Good to hear she's still kicking about.

Thank you John, it's been a while since I was last in Knaresborough, and I noticed a few changes, not least the disappearance of Madame Gi Gi's emporium  One of the other junk shops has also gone - The last time I was there, the lady proprietor told me she was glad I had come in, as she was on her own, and she was worried about a customer who had gone up to the showroom upstairs. She told me that he was a big chap, unshaven and rather scruffy-looking, and he kept emitting strange groaning noises. I said I would go to investigate, and went upstairs to speak to the feller. It turned out the poor bloke was groaning because he had hurt his back, and had not been able to shave because of it! :D On my next visit, the lady presented me with a piece of cake as a thank you :D

Beware of large hairy men with bad backs.

Here's something We've been waiting watching and looking for. :D:D:D I love it! Thank you very much, Jack!
Dave that is a beautiful lamb foot! Happy for you that the wait is over. :) You live in a staggeringly gorgeous locale. Reminds me of Telluride.
Jack Black Jack Black you have been posting some extraordinary scenery of late. I immediately thought of the Wizard's Quest when you mentioned the old woman who haunts the castle remains. :cool:fullsizeoutput_9f1.jpeg
