Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thank you my friend, it would be great to know a little about that knife  I wouldn't take much notice of the article though :(
I'll see what I can find out, O Fearless Leader! (But not tonight--going to watch a movie with my wife and daughter on the telly).
Been carrying a non-lambsfoot this weekend--gotta spread the love--but will slip my Wee Staggie (should I name it, like GT does?) into my pocket before work tomorrow.
Wishing you and all fellow Guardians a glorious week!

Fantastic pic's Jack!:thumbsup: Two things, your leaves are still on the trees:eek: and is that a Raven or Crow with a white breast?
I have never seen that before. Here is a quick shot near my home on my walk yesterday.

As far as I know, Ravens and Hooded Crows don't interbreed, nor is that likely to be albinism. Instead, it looks like a Pied Crow which is in fact an African species not indigenous to Europe at all. As the bird has rings and might even have clipped wings it could be some 'pet' which is thoroughly irresponsible. Ravens and Crows can be tamed to an extent but their foul and insanitary instincts cannot.....If this touched woman is 'bringing' Ravens to the castle from time to time then their wings must be clipped or else they would fly to their hearts' content. The Pied Crow may be one of these unfortunates too, these are not pets and should not be kept in this grotesque manner to gratify the ego of owners. Ravens frequently fly over my house en route to the forest with their distinctive coughing croak, large formidable birds with great intelligence but they are aloof & distant by nature. People turning them into some kitsch gothic tourist feature is intolerable in my view.

Sorry for the OT aside but environmental issues mean a lot to me. Watch out for the shiny bolsters of your knives...Crow family are attracted to glittery things and may cache them :D

Thank you for the very interesting information :thumbsup: Yes I was puzzled with that "Pied Crow" never seen one before. It seems most of the crows migrate South from here, as winter kicks in. The ole stalwart Ravens stay put not sure what they live on though?

Morning Guardians, hope everyone had a great weekend :) I've got a busy week ahead, with a lot of work on, and my friend's wedding on Saturday. Hope everyone has a good start to the week. Starting mine off with my AC

Always excellent photos Ron. I guess it is the season here for the elk. There was a full heard of at least 40 standing in front of the recreation center this morning.

Thanks Dave! :) Wow! That would have been a sight to see! This ole southern boy has never saw an Elk in the wild!
