Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Nice snakewood, Pete, we should be seeing some of the Albers lambs in snakewood pretty soon . . . can't wait!

Received mine just today as a matter of fact! My lamb herd has doubled in size. They’re two quite different knives in spite of their similarities but both fantastic.

Thanks Jack! You and Leon lit the fire fire for me several years ago.🙏
It's great to see how you've taken to the pattern Dan 😊
I don't know how it happened but I was 13 pages behind. Still 7 pages behind!
The Guardians thread is flying these days! :D Some stunning Lambs too
Absolutely superb Dwight  Great pic too :)
BobStag meets Yoda, he would be wise enough to be a guardian😉. Bead art poster. My daughter walked out last night & said here you go, as she finished it last night.

Congratulations, what a flock! It's nice to see those two together like that, they are indeed quite different interpretations of the Lambsfoot pattern :) Lovely photo :)

Good morning Guardians, great to see some of Eric's latest Lambsfoot run turning up here, congratulations folks :) I'm continuing to feel more normal again, but that may have accounted for my rotten night's sleep! :D The seasons have definitely changed here, and it's not a particularly nice day to be down at the market. Tool Man will have his vest on, though that is a 365 day a year thing! :D He may even have his Girl's Coat out! 🤣 I'll give him a ring later, but don't have any plans to go down there. Sorry Guardians, I'll try to take extra pics next week ;) I'm feeling the draw of Waboom again! :D Have a great day Guardians

It's in great shape, main blade is pinchable and both have nice W&T. Nice full blades and a deep etch on the main.

Congratulations Steve :) I was hoping I might be able to pick up a few old ones at the knife show I was due to attend this weekend, but have to wait until next year now 😭 ;)

If that is the same one I think it is..... congrats on the win! Lol. Looks great in your photos!

It's always great when you call in to say Hello Harry, and that really is quite a collection :) Your Old Faithful TEW is something special though :) Joseph Rodgers had a name for that Shadow range, which included a couple of other blades, but I'm afraid I've forgotten it. It was at a time when the remaining cutlers were trying to innovate a little, in the face of competition from the Far East. The Lambsfoot is very light in weight, you barely know it's in your pocket. TEW have done bolsterless patterns too, with various synthetic covers, very different to your own venerable old Lamb (a couple below).

It's a shame TEW only do stainless today, I'm sure it's good, but as you know, that old TEW carbon is something special :)

Interesting that all those shadow pattern Lambs have no exposed pins or pivot.

LOL! :D I was going to have a bread roll with my soup, but then....🤣

Well who could resist? 😁

There’s a chain of sandwich places here that has pretty good sandwiches, but they can’t get a bit pricey. In college I would get their much cheaper “slim” sandwiches, which are the same size as their regular sandwiches, but only come with meat and cheese. I’d get a slim turkey sandwich and bag of BBQ chips and load the sandwich up with chips. Pretty tasty. 🙂

New lamb for the fold arrived today. Nice and snaky

Very cool looking snakewood on your new Albers! Tons of character! 😎

Just finished dinner.
The wife made a classic, curried sausages😍 with the curry powder I like.

Looks tasty, Mitch! I have to admit that my only knowledge of curried sausages comes from watching Bluey with the kids. 😁

One of Julie’s coworkers recently gave me a four pack of these 750 ml “crowlers” from a local brewery I hadn’t heard of before.

I thought I’d start with the most straightforward of the four, their Oktoberfest. Pretty middle of the road Märzen, certainly not the best I’ve had, but far from the worst. The Hazy IPA should be (?) standard enough as well, but the other two are where things might get… interesting. In addition to the S’mores Stout you can see in the picture above, the fourth beer is a Coffee Chocolate Golden Ale, a combination I can say with absolute certainty that I’ve never had before.

And hey, since I’m trying new beer, why not be joined by a new Lambsfoot?

Here’s another picture in better lighting, though it’s still not a great pic, as it’s cropped from a larger photo with a non-Lambsfoot knife. I had a double mail call today, and only really had time to take one quick pic of both knives together in the daylight.
