Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I think I'm just not gonna change my clocks. Had an aunt that never used "daylight savings time", and she never had any problems.
LOL! :D I guess, if you didn't live in a city, it wouldn't be such a big deal :D Clocks only became important here, with the 'factory discipline' of the industrial revolution. Prior to the introduction of steam trains, clocks varied from town to town, and aligning them was only necessary because of the timetables
WaBoom and Cake! 😍
😋
Your Napoleon looks tasty Jack. I hope they don't go closing Charlie's up!
Thanks buddy, sure hope not :)
We used to live near Phoenix, and Halloween definitely had potential to be warm. (Thankfully Eleanor was young enough that we didn’t do much trick-or-treating.)

I don’t remember how hot it was this year, but the multi-layered Marty McFly costume didn’t last long, and I have another pic of her standing in front of a fan, with just the jeans on, enjoying the air blowing through her hair. 🤣

aycmwrf.jpg
So sweet! ☺️ I remember that year Barrett, you always have such imaginative costumes :)
A new vegan cafe? How exciting… 🙄
Indeed  There used to be more than a dozen cafes in the market, and you could get beans on toast at any of them! 🤨
It’s a good thing I was carrying my Afzelia Burl Albers this morning and not, say, my stag HHB. My new friend might have taken it as some sort of threat. 😁

Good evening Guardians. Just a quick little snack before dinner. 😎👍View attachment 2359331
Looks tasty Todd 😋 Nice pic :)
Picking up the Gator once again.

Evening Guardians! Ethan helping out today.

Nice work Mitch :)

That cafe will be a winner. College kids cry poor but will be able to afford a piece of stale organic bread with ancient grains, dry of course with a cup of recycled water strained through a sock😉
🤣🤣
Tweed of course👍
LOL! :D Tool Man has a 3-piece suit that looks like it was made for Bill The Butcher! :D We call it his Toad of Toad Hall suit 🤣
All the Macro's. Protein, fat and carbs.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I thought you were talking about the grain-filled sock at first!🤣
Are you saying the renovation work will take 5 to 10 yrs???
I don't think there's much work been going on Dwight  When the original stalls were closed, they were boarded up, and almost hermetically sealed. And there they say for years, with various signs promising something new 'was coming'. The work only started about a year ago. It is the same with Butcher's Row, which was closed 7 or 8 years ago. They kicked all the traders out, and it just sat empty for several years. Then they boarded it up. Then, about a year ago, they started doing some work. They must have employed the same contractors as the Sagrada Familia
Handsome Bex :cool::thumbsup:
I went outside earlier this evening to take a Lambsfoot picture, and I couldn’t find my charcoal chimney starter that I sometimes use as a background for knife pics. I knew exactly where it had been, and I realized pretty quickly what must have happened to it. We had our roof replaced yesterday, and the crew doing the job must have tossed it in the dumpster when they were cleaning up. I suppose I can see where it might have looked like one of the old roof vents they replaced, although it’s a bit of a stretch. 🙄

It’s really not a huge deal, they’re like $25, but you can bet I’ll be deducting that from the check I have to write them. 😁 The knife pic background part irritates me more than anything. It was non-reflective, did a good job portraying accurate colors (which can be tricky sometimes taking knife pics with an iPhone) and I liked the character it had. It’ll take years get a new one looking that good.

Here’s the most recent Lambsfoot pic I took on the chimney starter, as well as a behind-the-scenes pic showing the whole thing that I took at the same time. RIP old friend. 😢😉😁

Anyways… here was the pic I was trying to take. I was fortunate enough to pick up another Albers
Lambsfoot of the exchange thanks to fellow Guardian @natchezz . The newcomer is in Curly Katalox, which is a chocolatey dark brown with some subtle but attractive character. I’m really happy to have it.

That's really annoying Barrett 😠 I have had similar things happen :( Your pics look great though, what an impressive trio  Curly Katalox sounds like a Basque pop singer! :D
Thank you, it's good to be back. :)

Far from it, but getting better day by day... it's tougher when you're 60 and just starting out.

Thank you, it's nice to be back again... and i got to miss all the forum knife hoopla... good timing. 🤣

Thank you, my friend. :)

Maybe that's why I had an urge to come back... or it could have been Todd pestering me. 🤣

Thanks, my friend. :)

First day back and I get to see a famous Jack photo of "Lamb and Cake"... Good timing. 🤠

It comes in waves, it should slow down soon enough. :)

That's a healthy looking boy.

Alsmost as yummy looking as your Lamb... I carried my Ebony today too. 🤠

Gorgeous Trio. 🤠

Hope I didn't forget anybody, I'm kinda rusty. ;)
The cake was tasty John 😋 :)

Good morning Guardians, how's everyone doing? I have some work to do today, worse luck! :D Still got some housework to do too  Thought I'd carry an Oldie today ;) Have a great day Guardians

You captured the trio quite well Barrett. Congrats on the new Albers.👌

What can i say. They are just 2 beautiful Lambsfoot's. 🤠
Sorry for your loss of your trusty background prop but congrats on your new Albers !

Sweet trio 👍
Gorgeous Trio. 🤠

Thanks fellas. 🙂

Thanks, Jack. The girls are both looking forward to Halloween. I’m just hoping the weather we’ve been having (highs in the 50s/low 60s most days) will stick around until the 31st, but it probably won’t.

Indeed  There used to be more than a dozen cafes in the market, and you could get beans on toast at any of them! 🤨

The new vegan cafe might offer beans on toast, but it will probably cost £12 and be awful. 😉

Looks great, Mitch!

Yesterday, after pocketing my new Katalox Albers (I figured the Afzelia Burl could use a little break), we headed out for a quick dinner and then to the Minnesota Zoo for their annual Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. We’ve been going to this for a few years now and it’s a lot of fun. They have thousands of jack-o-lanterns set up along an outdoor trail, including a hundred or more larger, more intricately carved pumpkins.

There’s always a theme for the larger jack-o-lanterns. This year’s theme was “Seasons of the Year,” which I have to say was not their best theme, but there were still some impressive and interesting pumpkins.

There was a lot of wildlife.
