Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

What’s the F&F like on the Daniels Family knives? I’ve been tempted but haven’t heard a lot of reviews on them.
All of my... numerous... examples are fantastic.

No gaps, no blade wobble, smooth cover-to-bolster/endcap transitions, consistent pull weights, solid, everything lines up just like it's supposed to, plus - generally stunning cover materials.

One of the few criticisms I've heard is that some folks are opposed to super-chunky stag - that said, only the sambar stag options seem to be cut this way, their American elk covers are very trim. Personally, I love obnoxiously thick stag - put the whole darn antler on there says I! Some have commented that earlier releases from the company had 'nail-breaking' pull weights, however, while stout indeed - I find the lambfoot models to be very pinchable due to their very well executed nail nicks.

Here are some of mine:

Hope that helps!

(Just managed to post this in my Random Tuesday thread by mistake! 😖 )

In front of the El Diablo restaurant and Timanfaya gift shop, we were having a 10 minute break, and about to geta science lesson ;) This red earth is more like fine gravel, and the feller is taking a little from an inch or two below the surface...

He poured a few 'grains' into everyone's hand, and it was so hot you couldn't hold onto it, but had to drop it, or pass it from hand to hand.

The youngster got some in the end! :D

I put mine in the pocket of my vest, and forgot about it :D Here it is with a couple of small pebbles, and a shell, I left in my shorts pocket on the beach :D

In the second trick, a different feller poured some cold water into one of the pipes that went into the ground. It bubbled up immediately, and then on a count of three, shot into the air, as steam, cooling again before it hit the ground

And for my next trick...Feller number 3 forked some straw into one of the fissures about six feet from the surface, and it quickly burst into flames!

Not somewhere you'd want to trip in the dark!

The situation of the El Diablo restaurant is incredible, and it would have been a perfect place for lunch, but there were other plans, so there was just time for a few folks to spend a penny. There wasn't even time to visit the gift shop, but I did manage to get a couple of hasty snaps inside the restaurant, and of their unique cooking technique, using the heat from beneath the earth...

We boarded the bus again, and were off to continue our tour of Timanfaya
This looks awesome Jack! Love it!

Good morning Guardians !

More flurries of snow today and temps are supposed to start dropping this week 🥶

A new to me Lamb came in yesterday. I've been hunting a Vulcan Lamb ever since seeing Dwights. This one is special as it's another one of Harvey's flock saved from the auction site. I was able to save one other that will be here in a couple of day's 👍

Have a good day everyone !

Hello Guardians. Another lamb joins the flock. I’m very impressed with everything about this knife. Fit and finish are outstanding and the jigging is 🔥

Eric strikes again!, That guy certainly has a talent doesn't he, Oh to sit at a table with a beer- ok, two or three and listen to his tales of working in Schrade etc- just amazing- and yet we are still so lucky to see his work coming out- just awesome.

Good afternoon Guardians. Big storm moved into our area today. Heavy rain and high winds. Battening down the hatches! My HHB by my side.

How many times have I quoted your posts Bill on this beauty, what a gorgeous piece- man I love that thing- to be honest if you asked me to swap with mine- I would say no because my one has a part of Jack with it- so it's staying with me- but this doesn't mean I don't appreciate this one! Wow!

All you HHB guys are thick as thieves, huh? Y'all got a secret handshake? I guess if you do, you don't talk about that sort of thing publicly. 🤣

A grail knife if ever there was one! I curse myself for not finding this community earlier in life!

I forgot to say I bought them over 30 years ago and they are still good

Have a good lunch
.It was burger night.

Mitch, if there is ever something that gives a Knife a awesome Patina - Red Meat!

I always carry a certain Knife with me over the last few years when I go out to Dinner with Sue- this usually is on a Wednesday night - because that's my cooking night 🤣

The Staff see me with my own Knife as I don't use their Knife and they are always impressed.

One girl said the typical uneducated thing of " Oh dangerous - dangerous man carrying a Knife, so I said to her ( nicely as she said it nicely ) "no not really, If I tried to hurt you with this Knife it would fold up on my own fingers and cut me really badly, and see that Kitchen over there- the people working in there are actually the ones using the kind of Knife that 99% of Knife attacks and murders are committed with - that's right - Kitchen Knives, so when you go home - you have a lot of murderous utensils in your kitchen or sitting on a Knife block on your counter".

She looked at me and said " Wow... your right - I never looked at it like that", so now when she see's me she smiles and say's " Packin your Blade?"
I answer " Always " Its created a good hard case relationship!

🤣
We don't need a secret Handshake my friend, there's a special look in a mans eyes when he owns a HHB! 🤣

I guess what you can do is place a "wanted" in your signature in the hope that if? anyone should let go of theirs- then they may remember you- it has happened many times here with other knives , but I am sure Bill will simply post his to me when he tires of his- which I am sure will happen this year - I'm sure of it !!:D:rolleyes:🤣

I agree with you 100% Mitch! What do you think the odds are of sweet-talking Jack into getting another run of those going?
