I'll see you when I get back from the market Guardians ;)

Hope you have good weather for market day !

JB Lamb looking good 👍🏻

Great shot of your Charlie Lamb !

In front of the El Diablo restaurant and Timanfaya gift shop, we were having a 10 minute break, and about to geta science lesson ;) This red earth is more like fine gravel, and the feller is taking a little from an inch or two below the surface...

He poured a few 'grains' into everyone's hand, and it was so hot you couldn't hold onto it, but had to drop it, or pass it from hand to hand.

The youngster got some in the end! :D

I put mine in the pocket of my vest, and forgot about it :D Here it is with a couple of small pebbles, and a shell, I left in my shorts pocket on the beach :D

In the second trick, a different feller poured some cold water into one of the pipes that went into the ground. It bubbled up immediately, and then on a count of three, shot into the air, as steam, cooling again before it hit the ground

And for my next trick...Feller number 3 forked some straw into one of the fissures about six feet from the surface, and it quickly burst into flames!

Not somewhere you'd want to trip in the dark!

The situation of the El Diablo restaurant is incredible, and it would have been a perfect place for lunch, but there were other plans, so there was just time for a few folks to spend a penny. There wasn't even time to visit the gift shop, but I did manage to get a couple of hasty snaps inside the restaurant, and of their unique cooking technique, using the heat from beneath the earth...

We boarded the bus again, and were off to continue our tour of Timanfaya

That’s pretty wild, Jack! Thanks for sharing! 🔥

First snow day the kids have ever had. They are enjoying it to the fullest. No work today so just sitting back. Did have to plow the driveway twice and it is still coming down. HHB riding in the pocket today.

That’s awesome, Paul! 😁

Since El Diablo were clearly not giving kickbacks to the tour company, we high-tailed it out of there, before anyone could buy so much as a postcard! I snatched a few pics before we boarded the bus, but almost all of these were taken through the tinted window of the bus :(

If anything, the bus window tint does add to the otherworldliness of that stark landscape. 😎👽

My wife is not crazy about snow but my kids love it. With the freezing temps coming up, I fully expect the side eyes to be coming my way in abundance.

Yeah, you’re definitely gonna be in the doghouse come Sunday/Monday. 🥶

It's lightly snowing again today but Cassie and I got out for a good walk and some stick throwing. 🙂👍

Great pics, Steve!

You have nothing to worry about Paul :) I was an English teacher once, so that's a professional opinion! ;):D Hey, it's a forum, you're not writing your autobiography! 🤣 Most of the time, I don't even check my posts! :D I don't mean I don't check them for grammar or spelling, I don't even re-read them! 🤣

I can’t help myself, I always go back and re-read before I post. I’d probably post a lot more if I didn’t. 🤣 And I still end up with typos. 🙄

I’m officially back as a trainee guardian!

A very special thank you to Dan sf fanatic sf fanatic for his generosity, a great bloke and absolute gentleman. We were discussing knives and I mentioned gifting my only lamb to dad as he’d lost his years ago and Dan offered to send me this piece.

I’ve been away for the week down at the beach with the wife and kids but when I got home this afternoon opened up the box waiting for me.
She’s had a journey starting in England then the states and finally here but has fit in nicely and already has been out to work.

Collected some plums and took off some regrowth from under the graft of my Granny Smith.

A special thank you to several other forum members that also offered to gift me a lamb while I was lambless. What a great community we have here, one I hope to be a part of for many years to come.

Jack, I like the light oak cover. Congrats on the generosity of Dan.

Now, those plums look delicious.

Thanks Bob, it is a beauty. I spent the evening stoning it with a cup of tea. Taking up a nice edge too.

Yes, I always loved blood plums growing up and my boys now go crazy for them. Even when they're not fully ripe!

Great pics, Steve!

Thanks Barrett !

Hope you and Schultz have a good day at the market! Tell the rabble-rousers howdy.
Thanks David, the rabble-rousers were thin on the ground today :D
Looking good Mitch :)
Stunning pic Dwight, what a knife!
Hope you have good weather for market day !
Thanks a lot Steve, it's been a cold day, but largely dry. Around lunchtime, it got noticeably cold though 🥶
A Lamb loves to work :)

Congratulations Jack, that's very generous of Dan :) A very handsome Lambsfoot there my friend :)

Now you just need some shoes! 🤣;)

I had to read that sentence a few times!🤣 I was looking after my mate's kids for the day a few years ago, and noticed there was a plum tree, on public land. There were plums all over the pavement. We gathered some, and that tree now provides my mate and his family with plums all summer :)
Handsome '18 Jer :)
Is today wooden Thursday? Some people have me confused.😁View attachment 2453273
Nothing confusing about that knife buddy, it's a beauty :)

I hope everyone has had a good day :) The market was pretty quiet today, Nobber Al didn't stand, and the Tool Stall gang was thin on the ground. A shame because they missed both cake, and chips! :D

I traded my flat cap for a Finnish Sissi cap :D
