Man this spot is fantastic. It was right up the street from the house we lived in Austin. Consistency. Same server I’ve known for over a decade. Pretty special nowadays.

It sure is. There are a couple of servers at our favorite Mexican restaurant that we’ve known for years also. They know exactly what we want and when we want it (you have to have time to enjoy your margarita and some chips and salsa before ordering). I don’t like the “get in and get out” mentality of some servers.

Vince, I tried that last night with some 120 proof Wolcott Rickhouse Reserve with a splash of water -- it was only partially effective against my sinus cold and headache. Maybe I should have had another one.

Wow! 120 proof! A hot toddy might work better for the sinus cold. Maybe a tablespoon each of lemon juice and honey, couple of ounces of bourbon, and some boiling --or almost boiling-- water in a coffee mug. Hope you're feeling better, Jeff.

Thanks a lot guys, I did enjoy having a good sleep for the first time in a week, but unfortunately, as soon as I had posted here, I fell asleep again. When I woke up, I was still feeling groggy, but figured some fresh air, and a couple of cups of Charlie's coffee would wake me up. I went into town, and bought a few groceries, but then fell asleep again as soon as I got home. While out, I'd also noticed that my nose was a bit stuffy, and that my sense of taste was slightly diminished. A couple of friends had mentioned there were some strange viruses going around, and so I had a look online. Turns out that there is currently a huge spike in a new Covid variant here, and I have most of the symptoms - difficulty sleeping, feeling heavily fatigued, brain-fog, a stuffy nose, a change in taste, a cough (which I have anyway)! I also had a sore throat for a few days about a week ago. The fatigue, which is just like you'd expect with a case of flu is annoying, and the difficulty I've had sleeping, but the other symptoms are very mild, and if I do have a virus, I hope I'm soon back to normal!

It sure is. There are a couple of servers at our favorite Mexican restaurant that we’ve known for years also. They know exactly what we want and when we want it (you have to have time to enjoy your margarita and some chips and salsa before ordering). My favourite curry house is like that I don't get to visit too often now, but they always know exactly what I want Unfortunately, they don't serve margaritas

Good morning Guardians. Glorious morning here in coastal southern NC - just 60 miles from Myrtle Beach. Already in the 70's. Unfortunately it will be getting cold by next Monday - cold snap coming. Oh well, I'll enjoy the warm temps for now. Not much planned for the day but we've been invited for dinner tonight at a friends home. Looking forward to it. Had my Senator in the pocket yesterday and I had forgotten what a cool pattern it is. The file work on the back spring is a nice touch too. Think I'll have with me today and tonight too.
