It's mesquite burl! I sent it to Glenn with the knife. It looks super dense and hard but he said surprisingly it wasn't particularly dense.

I have heard nothing but good things about them. I really like the elk antler covers with the copper bolsters.

This morning I made a voluntary trip to the DMV. I found out yesterday (after seeing them on another vehicle) that Minnesota started offering “blackout” license plates at the beginning of the year. I’ve never liked the light-blue-and-white Minnesota plates, so I went ahead and renewed my plates early so I could switch. Thankfully the DMV wasn’t too busy. Ebony ‘18 Guardians knife with me today.

My first lambsfoot, a 4" with ebony covers from A Wright & Son. I really like the colors in the ebony covers. It's a little stiff when opening but is breaking in nicely.

Good morning Guardians. Glorious morning here in coastal southern NC - just 60 miles from Myrtle Beach. Already in the 70's. Unfortunately it will be getting cold by next Monday - cold snap coming. Oh well, I'll enjoy the warm temps for now. Not much planned for the day but we've been invited for dinner tonight at a friends home. Looking forward to it. Had my Senator in the pocket yesterday and I had forgotten what a cool pattern it is. The file work on the back spring is a nice touch too. Think I'll have with me today and tonight too.
