Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

this one is a 455. They do utilize the same magazines as the 457 series and the 452 series for that matter.
Gorgeous rifle. I'm partial to the 452s myself. I've got a 452 Ultra Lux on which I managed to replace all of the modern plastic parts (magwell, etc) with the original metal parts that a guy who used to have some connection to the original factory was importing from Europe through his old factory contacts.

The thing is, when I got it, I had to choose between it and the mannlicher (full stock model) and I still don't know if I made the right choice. The correct answer would've been to get both, but I thought they'd be making them forever. 😭

I have a lefty 452 lux. I’m in the same boat: happy to have it, but I should have bought two.

Jack that is just unacceptable. I hope you find a quality dentist and a consistent one. 😑

Thanks buddy !

Sorry that you had no satisfaction at the dentist 😕
Thanks guys :)

Superb Steve :)
It’s raining here, I think I have a cold… my second cold since 2019… so at least I’ve put an edge on the lambsfoot, since I havn’t had a desire to carry anything else lately.

Sorry to hear about your cold Frank, 2 in 5 years doesn't seem too bad though. I hope you're over it soon  I know how you feel about Lambsfoot knives ;) :)
Snakewood today. BobStag ate too much yesterday, nah really I'm just slack should have honed him last night but couldn't be bothered.
Have to go put the side table together now.

Busy times Mitch!
Developing skills to recover would be nice. I had to have someone here do that for me when I messed up this Big’un and cracked the original ebony covers trying to center the blade. Blade is now centered, lol

Ouch!
Needham
Hill St
Sheffield

I read up on them in Tweedales book. The Hill Street in the tang stamp had me interested. Seems they were located at Brook Hill till 1903 when the moved to Matilda Street. You have any clarification or interesting history on the Needham Brothers Jack.
I can tell you that my eldest went to Hill Street Nursery! 😁 About all that was left of the street then, and I'm pretty sure that has gone now. They made a nice knife, I only have one Needham Lambsfoot, but it's a good one, I think, a generous gift from Duncan :)

The River Porter runs beneath both Hill Street and Matilda Street, which are half a mile or so apart. Matilda Street was all cutlery works.

Needham were also at Portland Works, where Jack Black Knives were based! :D Since it is just round the corner from Hill Street, it was very handy for picking up my daughter! ;)

I remember! Your oligarchs must feel very secure.
Yeah 😒
"Give him a beer. He's a working man" Someone would say of my dad, though he was underage.
Yeah, made a difference when you were a working man Jer :) I was lucky, I could get served in pubs at 13, so by the time I started work, I could out-drink my work-mates! :D That's another superpower I've lost!
Afternoon all, afternoon pictures. View attachment 2486084View attachment 2486085

When i was a up and coming lout an old timer told gave me some advice, which i immediately dismissed as the ramblings of and old idiot thinking what would he know as you did. It was in regard to my drinking escapades, and he was correct " Don't Try And Beat It Son, It's Bigger Than All Of Us ". 🤯🤯🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣;)

Probably I need to upgrade to gold, which means the price of the basic was wasted.

So I will, but I'll be pow'ful disgusted if it doesn't help.
What a PITA! 😖 You'll look all weird if you go Gold, I have got used to your new name yet!:thumbsup:

Google photos doesn't work either. Might be my camera, might be my computer, might be hostile sylphs (heavens forfend).
I'll try something else when my bile subsides.
