Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Sounds great! 🙂

Never! 😁

You’re obviously quite the charmer, Jack. 😎😁

Interesting that they’ve got the illustrated non-Lambsfoot knife on the cover of that edition turned the other way round compared to the one I saw at the library the other day. Maybe one of them is the Australian edition. 😉🤣

I think that’s part of the charm in some of those old Barlows.

Every time I have to ship something lately, I think I should just get a cheap postal scale and label printer and start doing that bit myself, so I can just drop packages off rather than wait in line.

The last time I had to mail something, a week or two ago, there was only one person working the counter in our little post office, and the lady in front of me had three reusable shopping bags full of packages to mail. 😳

Thankfully she had already paid for shipping and affixed labels on all of them, and was only waiting in line to make sure they all got scanned, which only took a couple minutes.

That wood looks amazing in the sunlight, Steve! 😎

Beautiful slings! Jeremy did a great job.

Is that a CZ 457?
Thanks Barrett.

Also, I have done just what you described for shipping stuff, cheap scale off Amazon, created an account with Pirate Ship, and print labels with a standard printer. I only take my stuff to the post office to ensure it gets scanned into the system so I know the REAL point of departure.

Hope the dentist visit went well. Lovely lamb today my friend.
Sweet mug, Jack!!
Steely grey sky here, but it should get unseasonably warm.
Breathlessly awaiting the insurance check from my dental visit. I had no cavities to pay half of, but I'm not sure how many xrays they allow.

I captured a nice twinkle on my edge, though I say so myself. Like the cartoon twinkle of a charmer's tooth. Speaking of dentists.
Toffee wings is a legend, Jet.
A dental visit is not a small event here Bob! ;) Here's the queue for a dental practice in Bristol yesterday!

Thank you my friend

LOL! :D Well done Jer :)
That is insane, Jack. Sorry you have to go through that for some dental work.
Kicking off another day with this recovered 93.

My heart skips a beat every time I see a white bone 93!!!! Recover or not…..that is outstanding.
Good morning Guardians !

Vulcan in my pocket today 😎👍

This is the only way. My mail lady is good and scans them picked up right away. I do bribe her with cold waters in the summer and coffee in the winter 😂😂

Just enjoying a day off. Leaving to the hardware store and grocery store to pick some stuff up. They are running a sale on a little drill press. I have flirted with the idea of recovering my own knives for a while now. Haven’t fully committed yet but I’m close.

I have struggled with rogue nosebleeds all my life and had a horrible one this morning 😒. The bed looked like a murder scene🤣🤣. Gonna buy the misses a new comforter set. One of the reason I’m going to town as mentioned above. Don’t know why I get them randomly and it is a mystery to the doctors as well.

I will be carrying the Green lamb on my journey to town. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Looking good Paul.
Odd predicament with nose bleeding.

Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 while I did not have the work done (I purchased it from another BF member who had already modified it) I think doing a recover is a nice way to personalize a knife without much risk as long as you go through a reputable individual to have the work done.

Speaking of being tentative of doing changes though, I’ve been considering learning to skrimshaw so I can put something cool on the 93. That’s years down the road though, if at all.

To paraphrase Laurie Anderson, "I d[o]n't know whether to laugh, or cry" at the police breaking up a dental rally.
I lean toward cry.

We used to have a good health service once Jer, but over the past few decades, successive administrations have destroyed it!
Thank you fellow Guardians. :)
Sorry I was away for a couple of days. Big storms with high winds were blowing through Kalifornia. Trees were down all over town and they knocked our power out for a couple of days.
Sorry to hear that John, ho damage to Chateau DF I hope

LOvely photo :)
Jack, I think I'd let my teeth rot before I stood in a queue that long!

Me too, Jeff!
For most, there isn't even a queue! Folks are routinely having to pull their own teeth out! 😖 I've just spent a couple of hours looking at dental care packages overseas - sounds great, spending £5-10,000 going on holiday to the dentists! 🤨
Good morning Guardians !

Vulcan in my pocket today 😎👍

Looks fabulous Steve
Sounds great! 🙂
It was absolutely fantastic Barrett, a small pub, with two rooms, full of some of the most interesting characters you might ever meet, the best pint in Sheffield for only 30p, Park Drive behind the bar. I had some of the best nights of my young life there :)

The Landlord: Fred Woodbine, came home from WWII, and took over from his dad. Ran it with his missus.

Notable regulars: Surrey George, Blond-haired Cath, Red-haired Cath, Young Singh, Old Singh, Tikka, Bob Gilpin, Vic Umpofo, Dave and Maggie Ash, Derek Dishman, Gloria, Mick Thorpe, Vin Tate, Karl Dexter. Alan Parkinson, Maggie Barnes, Chris Mulligan, Big John Allen, I could go on at greater length. Each had a host of stories to entertain a 16 year old lad, who liked old men's boozers, and who most thought was in his mid 20's! ;) :D

More like the only regular over 50! :D Old men have warned me about what it's like to get old for many years! I will never forget the look of horror on an old feller's face, when he advised me, "NEVER go on a Saga Cruise!!" 🤣

LOL! :D There's a bit of a Lambie knife on the cover of one of Dave Canterbury's books :D
I think that’s part of the charm in some of those old Barlows.
Definitely

I am certainly glad that the self-service machines were still in use when I was shipping out all the Guardians' knives, that was one heck of a job!:D

Nice knife
Hope you feel better soon Paul.

Hope the dentist visit went well. Lovely lamb today my friend.
Thanks mate, I'll be looking for a replacement tomorrow, which says a lot in these desperate times here. I got seen an hour late, by a nervous young lass, who looked in her early teens. She didn't seem to have a clue, cut my mouth taking an X-Ray, then talked a lot of tosh. Nothing done about the infection, or toothache, and I was given a follow-up appointment in March    If it wasn't for the other desperate souls, I'd be tempted to go back with a petrol can! Thanks buddy
Sweet mug, Jack!!
Thanks Paul, it's an old pic. I thought Jer might like the mug, but Darryl Hannah didn't come out so well! 🙄🤣

There's horror stories in the papers every day mate, the country's in meltdown 🤨

Sorry to hear about the nose-bleeds mate, my neighbour ended up in hospital with one this week (old bloke in his 80's, had to spend 3 days on a stretcher, in a corridor, as there are no beds!). I hope you've had a good day otherwise :) Green Lamb looks good
Afternoon Guardians! Hope all is well with all the Guardians.

Nice oldie David  Who is the maker?

Very nice !
Thank you Steve!
Happy to contribute, Pete. Look forward to seeing them in use.
Stay tuned. 😎👍🏻👍🏻
Those slings are top notch Pete (I seem to have dropped the quotes) 😎👍
They are very well done Jack. 😎
Big storms with high winds were blowing through Kalifornia. Trees were down all over town and they knocked our power out for a couple of days.
Hi John, great to see you amigo. I hope you haven’t had any property damage.
Beautiful slings! Jeremy did a great job.

Is that a CZ 457?
Barrett, this one is a 455. They do utilize the same magazines as the 457 series and the 452 series for that matter. Here is a link to the product page ((discontinued) please let me if I cannot link them please and I will remove).

Jack that is just unacceptable. I hope you find a quality dentist and a consistent one. 😑

Developing skills to recover would be nice. I had to have someone here do that for me when I messed up this Big’un and cracked the original ebony covers trying to center the blade. Blade is now centered, lol

The tang stamp is:

Needham
Hill St
Sheffield

I read up on them in Tweedales book. The Hill Street in the tang stamp had me interested. Seems they were located at Brook Hill till 1903 when the moved to Matilda Street. You have any clarification or interesting history on the Needham Brothers Jack.

"Give him a beer. He's a working man" Someone would say of my dad, though he was underage.
