Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

and not drink alcohol at home, (which is where most of my boozing gets done these days)
Times are tough here Jack. I've let the bar stock dwindle to almost nothing. Tonight I'm mixing half and half - Forty Creek and Kentucky Moonshine. :D And it ain't bad! ;)
No, that sounds about right. 😁 It’s a giant warehouse full of items sold in quantities larger than most people need. Here they do the rotisserie chickens in several big ovens in the meat department in back. I bet they’ve got a hundred of them going at a time, and they’re cheap, $4.99 for a whole chicken. Pretty tasty, too, and useful if you need chicken for a soup or casserole.

Also, at their cafe in the front of the store, you can get a large hot dog and a drink for $1.50, or a large slice of pizza for $2. The pizza is just ok, but the hot dogs are pretty good. Sometimes we’ll have lunch there after doing our weekend shopping, because the four of us can eat for like $12. 🤣

Hope you have an enjoyable Pancake Day, Jack!

Bad lighting days are frustrating, aren’t they? Good thing that Waynorth Lambsfoot looks good in any light! 😁

Jack, found this one that has the same type blue rope jigging. On this forum under "Getting Jiggly". Wonder if this was one of Eric's efforts whilst he was at Canal Street?
BlueRopeBoneMoon 6.JPG

I did some research on this a few weeks back as I was always curious the history behind blue rope bone. From what I found online (not verified), it’s all the same batch. There was a run of Schrade 100th anniversary knives that got this bone in the early 2000s. Then the company went under and the founders of CSC rescued the leftovers, using it in a few knives throughout the company’s time. Following that, it seems the cover material was once again saved and used in two of Eric’s knives so far.

G'day mate.
I remember you sayiny you don't really like offset canes. Maybe it's not the cane itself but the foot, a good 1 is like good tyres. I don't have a lot of feeling in my off hand and a good foot really reduces the stress impacts. Might be worth looking at also cheaper. I like sherpa style.
Like a shock absorber

I love a crook cane but they aren't perfect ergonomic. If I'm having a non confident day with my weak hand, I will use a modern hiking style light and ergonomic. I like Komperdell, leki and montbell. Also very light.
Good luck my friend
Mitch

Well, after yesterdays great weather over here, it's been raining and crappy today. So pardon the bad picture, but I just had to share this Lamb today! Carrying it just brings me joy! ☺️

No, bad florescent lighting does not do Charlie Lamb any justice whatsoever!
Sounds like you've got our weather here, dreary as dishwater! A Lambsfoot is a joyful thing :)
Afternoon Guardians! Vinny is standing guard today.

That sounds pretty good Barrett, I have seen the chickens mentioned here on The Porch before :) Costco certainly wasn't like that when I last visited! :D There's every chance it's changed, mitch13 mitch13 's post suggests there's an international model, but while I hear folks talking about IKEA's meatball's, even on the radio, I have never heard anyone here talking about Costco's chicken or hotdogs. A Google search confirmed their UK branches do sell rotisserie chicken, but there seems to be less of a fuss about them, maybe they aren't as good value as in the US - or it might be tight-fisted Yorkshiremen! :D

I used to go there years ago, mainly to buy large quantities of beer for parties and barbecues, but then the prices rose to the point it was just as cheap to go to the local supermarket. Maybe I missed part of the place, but I certainly didn't see a restaurant. During the lockdown here, all the supermarket deliveries were booked up, but I found I could get deliveries from Costco, though their grocery range was limited to cans and other long life products. I'm still using the canned tomatoes! :D Hisham at Charlie's Cafe uses Costco, so I'll try and remember to ask him about the chickens
Hope you have an enjoyable Pancake Day, Jack!
Thanks a lot buddy, I don't eat pancakes very often, but they're my special treat :)

Always liked that pic!

Big rose today. Maybe I should call it big Lilly as my youngest is Lilly Rose 🤔🤔🤔 nah better not.

That's a nice name for your youngest Mitch :) Nice photos too :)
Thanks for reminding me! I've put my pancake mix in my coffee cupboard, where with any luck I'll see it in the morning.

Suddenly it seems that carrying a crook-handle cane hurts my fingers.
A swan neck cane should by fine; I know the shaft is right under my fist, but I don't feel it. I lose all sense of point.
I'll try my iron shovel-handle handled one, which I'll remember to take a picture of if I'm using it.

I'll try this one, too:View attachment 2493425
Hope you enjoy your pancakes Jer :) Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your cane :(
That looks like a hefty beast! Good shot of your '18 too Jer
Thanks Pal. Wee staggy image is super fine!
Thank you Dwight, I wish I got to enjoy weather like that everyday.

Good morning Guardians, and Happy Pancake Day! :D I won't be getting mine until this afternoon I'm afraid, due to the Wolfie factor. He is just absolutely guaranteed to mess up any arrangment. It may not be over yet  I am determined to get my pancakes though! Off down to the docs shortly, see if I can get some antibiotics  Have a good day everyone

Thanks a lot guys :) Unfortunately, I didn't get past the receptionist, they won't issue antibiotics because it's a matter for the dentist. I'm one of the lucky few who HAS a dentist here, but my appointment is a month away. Receptionist suggested I contact the Emergency Dental Service, but as we both know, that service is exclusive to those who aren't actually registered with a dentist, and I imagine that they have a very long waiting list at the moment

Sorry to hear you couldn’t get any antibiotics Jack. Looking forward to seeing a picture of Waboom snuggled up to some pancakes!
😎👍

Hope you enjoy your pancakes Jer :) Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your cane :(
Be sure you get your pancakes, too. Fortunately my cane is more of a precaution than a necessity most of the time.
That looks like a hefty beast! Good shot of your '18 too Jer
Thanks!
It's a mite handle-heavy. I have a more restrained handle in sheet steel and dowel, but this one already as a stick and I know the grip won't twirl.

People are going to die, but that will be a matter for the crematoria.

This seems almost criminal negligence 🤬
