It sounds like it might be a bit shrill for me.

Afternoon all

Great picture of JB Lamb ! πŸ‘

Steve, you find a wee treasure chest of Lambs? Loving the show of late- that's a slick looking Lambsfoot right there!

Thanks mate !

That's a beautiful vintage Lambsfoot buddy :)

Thanks Jack πŸ‘

Blimey, I finally got caught up!  How's everyone doing, I hope all's well :) I had 2 coffees, and a croissant in Charlie's yesterday morning, before heading into town for some shopping. By chance, I bumped into Ajay and Jim in the market, so we went for lunch at the Tunisian stall. We had a good catch up, but, annoyingly, I kept getting texts and phone calls from one of my neighbours. He's a nice bloke, but has very little sense, (actually, to correct that, he's a Β£%&+#'= idiot!), and also doesn't speak much English. He was asking if I could pick up 'something' for him, from a lady in the market. Unfortunately, he couldn't tell me where she was, other than that she sold hair products. Some time after, I was rung by a woman who made my neighbour look intelligent, and I could get very little sense out of her at all. A second call was completely silent. My neighbour rang me again, and told me the woman was called Josephine, and had a stall outside the market. I know the market well enough to know that there is no hair product stall outside the market, but I had a number, so figured I'd ring it when we'd finished eating  Ajay and Jim went off to explore Leeds, and I had the idea to ask one of the female stall-holders, where I might find this Josephine. Thankfully, the lady was very well-informed, and told me that it was, in fact, a hairdresser's shop situated near the market, on the main road. I went there, and asked if they had something for my neighbour Stephane. At first, the two ladies in the shop didn't seem to know what I was talking about, then the penny dropped, and they gave me a carrier bag, stacked with plastic containers, which looked like they contained food. I received no further explanation. I had arranged to meet Ajay and Jim at 'The Templar, an old-fashioned pub next to the Thai restaurant we were eating at, so a couple of hours later, I went back into town. I got a pint in The Templar, but it was very busy, and there were no tables free. I drank my pint, and left, calling Ajay, who it turned out was only 100 yards away, with Jim. We went to a different hostelry, and had a good couple of hours, talking about old times, before going to eat. Afterwards, I walked them down to the railway station, as they were still staying in nearby Bradford. It's Ajay's talk tonight, so I'll sit at the back with Jim, and try to behave! :D Carrying my AC today :)

Sounds like a good day Jack .

Great picture of AC ! πŸ˜πŸ‘

Black Beauty ! 😍

I wish my Wi-Fi was peddle-powered, it might be faster! That's a handsome old timer my friend.
Thanks Jack.
The more people try to improve things, the behinder we get!

Glad you are enjoying the day, in spite of the gates to the loony bin being opened up!

Thanks guys, the dentist was less nervous than previously thankfully. I genuinely suspect it was her first day! The same is true of the dental nurse today, who didn't know how to use anything. I had my crown replaced, and a filling, but the dental neglect of the past year has caused some decay, which could end up costing me a couple of teeth. I'm thinking of taking legal action

Very nice  :)

Great pic of your Barlow Bill, I hope you enjoy your day :)

Enter the dragon! :)

No, I'm not sure if they're centigrade or celsius, but they make no sense to me, and most of my friend, Vince 🀨

I like the look of the short 'un in Rosewood Steve  As I used to say to my ex, 'Life is short, and so are you...' 🀣🀣

Welcome to the Guardians Rick :) Those two look crisp as a well-ironed shirt

I know mate :) It's nothing personal, but obviously, I WOULD have to kill him! 😠🀣

Thanks a lot mate, we'll see

Nice Barrett  :)

Stunning! :)

After leaving the dentist, I decided to go into town for Thai πŸ˜‹ I was hoping to watch a movie tonight, but got side-tracked with some local history on YT! :rolleyes:πŸ˜„
Thank you kind sir!

It's always a pleasure when you call in Duncan :) I hope your week is going well :)

Thanks a lot David, I've just been chatting to Tool Man on the phone :D

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone's week got off to a good start (hope yours gets better Ken) About a year ago, maybe more, I helped out an old friend, whose latest novel is set in Leeds, with locations, background info, contacts, etc. Her book is finally out, and she is currently on a book tour. On Wednesday evening, I'm invited to attend at Leeds Library for this, but Ajay and Jim, her feller, are already in the area, and coming over to Leeds this evening, so we're going out for dinner and a few pints. Before then, though, I need to go into town to buy some provisions, and I'll undoubtedly call in at Charlie's for a coffee or two ;) Have a great day everyone  I'm carrying my Albers Lamb :)

Very nice knife my friend.

Good morning Guardians. Went out golfing yesterday and and decided to take a short nap...woke up after about 3hours!!!🫨. Felt groggy for the rest of the day/evening. Guess I'll chalk that one up to experience. Going to refinish a small dresser if it gets warmer outside because I plan to paint it. I'll keep Mr HHB close to me today.

I am forever impressed by the quality of Great Vintage Lamb Foot knives that appear on this thread continuously!!
I am also very impressed by Neal Punchard's article on the Lambfoot in Knife Magazine!!! He really did his research into the ongoing saga!!
Jack Black Jack Black H herder

Thanks for the nice comments Charlie, I've received quite a few positive notes from many readers of that magazine.
I hope it has introduced a previously obscure pattern to a new group of knife enthusiasts.
And yes, the pictures from our Guardian friends are amazing. I'm constantly impressed with new variations shown of both vintage and modern knives.
Unfortunately, I am one of the many who are plagued by this photo posting situation, as I do not use a posting site.
When this first happened , I had no idea what the problem was a called Barrett who explained what was going on.
I hope they can resolve this bad glitch soon, but it doesn't sound like an easy fix.
Thanks to everyone who continue to post such wonderful pictures!!!

I hope Spark can work it out!! This site's life blood is the wonderful pictures that we all post! I have an extra margin for pics, because I pay for a Dealer/Provider membership, but it ain't cheap! Every time renewal comes up, I toy with the idea of dropping it! I guess I will continue munching the bullet for a while!!
