I hope everyone is having a good FridayMy optician's appointment was at Noon, and I was expecting a delivery at 3pm, but I woke up to find the delivery was now at middday, so had to put it off until Monday. I shaved and showered, and headed down To Charlie's, where I discovered I'd forgotten my reading glasses. No worries, as I would be picking up a new pair in an hour or so. After coffee at Charlie's, I headed into town, called in at my bank, and as I was early for the optician, wasted a bit of time by window-shopping. At 11.55am, I walked into the optician's to find that the assistant manager, whom I was due to see, wasn't there, as he had been sent elsewhere. And nobody thought it was worth letting me know!
So no glasses, and I have to go there again, next Tuesday
If I hadn't paid for the glasses, I'd be going elsewhere!
I'd forgotten that Wolfie was taking his missus somewhere today, so I headed down to the market for lunch
It was nice, but I could have used the time at home better. Now I better get on with some house-work I think

I hope you use it in good health for many years to come.I think it's been an hour now, maybe longer, and my heart-rate has only just settled back down, and my vision cleared. I don't know how you guys managed to put this together, but I received a very special gift this evening, a wonderful knife, which I will treasure always. It is one of Cosimo Di Bendetto's beautifully elegant Lambsfoot knives, and it would be amazing enough, but it came as a gift from a bunch of you, who are my friends, which is why it will always have a special place in my heart. I can't thank you folks enough for all the kindness and friendship I have received here over the years, but this knife will be a special reminder of both. Thank you so much my dear friends
It's late here, and long dark, but here is my Pals' Lambsfoot![]()
