Well said!I am so happy that @Jack Black recieved that wonderful lamb. Great team effort everyone. Bob’s connection with Cosimo was the most important thing. I was overwhelmed by the blind willingness to help by everyone. You all are awesome and I’m proud to call you all my friends.
Jack, you have fostered a very close group here and your presence and friendship on the forum cannot be measured. I am so happy that you are ok and pray for calm waters ahead. Well deserved knife for our friend and let’s face it a father to the pattern for many of us. There may be plenty of back seat drivers to the lambsfoot but nobody would be capable of harboring the close knit group of people we have here. I think I can speak for everyone in saying that we enjoy the pattern but the friendships it has brought to us is the most important thing.

For clays and plastic ammunition, you don't need anything heavy, and if you want to increase their speed and power more, you can trim them

I know I haven't been around that long, but I consider myself a big fan of the lambsfoot pattern and Mr. @Jack Black himself. I also don't foresee, God willing, myself going away in the near future. In short, you're probably stuck with me.

I've been carrying and using this 88 a lot lately, and the more I do, the better it seems to look!
The ironwood has darkened significantly, and the blades are developing a mature patina, but the most striking change is that every component - the covers, shield, bolsters, and blades have taken on a more matte appearance, that I can only say reminds me of the type of natural lustre you'd expect to see on a much older knife - unsurprisingly, it's incredibly difficult (at least for me) to capture in a photograph. In other words, it's beginning to look a bit like an antique!
It's a little bit addictive, really. When I think about what I want to put in my pocket, I think "I wonder what one more day of carry will do for that 88?" -- and in the pocket she goes!

Receiving the wonderful gift from you all has certainly crowned what has been a pretty good week for me, and it will have pride of place in my Lambsfoot collection I hope everyone else has had an equally pleasant week, with a great weekend to come I'm hoping to meet up with Wolfie today, and I also have to pick up my new specs - which are more or less the same as my old specs! It's raining again outside, but definitely not in my heart!
