Thanks Steve, I've told them that, if I have to go back again, (I think I've had to make 8 or 9 visits overall), I'll expect an invitation to their Christmas party! Certainly easier to deal with than the useless dentist though. I rang the hospital this morning, and the doctor I spoke to, was as astonished as I was that my dentist doesn't actually pull teeth

I hope everyone is having a great day It's raining heavily here in Yorkshire, again I spoke to Tool Man on the phone this morning, and updated him about my dental health. He was extremely alarmed, not by my situation, but by the thought that I might not be there to buy him cake! It crossed my mind that before I starting going to the market, cake was something I ate half a dozen times a year Hoping the rain stops for tomorrow

It seems that dentists here no longer pull teeth here either. I had to go to a dental surgeon to have one pulled.

Really Steve? Blimey, maybe that's the way things are going. Not that it helps the poor souls here, who are having to use pliers! I was hoping to get things sorted out before I go to Crete for a week at the end of the month, as toothache could ruin my holiday

I’m afraid the weather has not noticed the changing of the season. Been snowing like crazy. Probably had about a foot in the last 16 hours or so. Had to cover for a guy at work so I’m getting some overtime in. Mamma will be happy with the check . So will Uncle Sam . Carrying this nice lamb that David gifted me today. Of course! Yeah, that snow has come late this year. I was talking to Sara in Charlie's about the weather today, and how I can remember getting snow in June! When her mum came over from Santa Domingo, I don't think it stopped raining once! Thanks a lot pal

I don't eat as much pasta as I used to, but really enjoyed that

Really Vince, any particular reason? A Greek friend once brought me a really good bottle back I am hoping I can find some good wine when I go to Crete. I am going to a tiny place called Sisi

(You might want to turn the volume down if you don't want Greek elevator muzack stuck in your head!)

As you know Vince, I am partial to a Rusty Nail, or 3, but the hangovers are grim!

The pasta is Pappardelle. Inevitably, I thought of you while making the sauce, as it has mushrooms in it! I fried them in olive oil, with some garlic and sausage, added some black pepper, paprika, and some hot roasted garlic and chilli oil, then added passata, and some basil. It didn't take long, and it was pretty tasty. I have a load of pasta I need to use up!
