Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Steve your lambs could have their own wing in the London British Museum. Incredible oldie!
:D
And here I was thinking you lived in a van down by the river... ;)😄🤣 Life is a struggle... ☺️
LOL! :D Twenty-odd years ago, when I first moved to this area, you would have struggled to sell a house here, but things have changed a lot in that time, and they are pretty big houses. I just have a 3-bedroomed apartment in one of the houses though! :D
Wow! I didn't know you had one of Duncan's Kiwi boxes!👍

Jack is that one also a Kiwi box?
It certainly is Dwight, a touching gift from The Legend himself :)
Well... the best laid plans of mice and men...
Sorry things didn't work out Dwight, but those are two incredible vehicles  :)
Great shot of that beautiful Barlow :)
The best thing about a Pricey Hipster Joint - The Footpath Going Past .😂😂😂
🤣
Good evening, Guardians. At work and going 100mph. Finally have a minute to sit and relax. Got the Charlie lamb today. In the background of the photo is one of our Sniper Towers. They are shooting the Barrett M107 .50 cal today and tonight out of it. Awesome weapon system. When a shoulder fired rifle is labeled as anti material……you know it does some damage 😂.

Fantastic Paul  They used to have a Barrett on display at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, and it was one of my favourite firearms. For some reason, it disappeared some years ago. One heckuva weapon  Great shot of your Charlie Lamb my friend :)
Yes and I cherish it as well as Duncan's friendship 👍
Nicely said Steve :)
I hope everyone’s weekend is off to a good start. @herder and I got into Eugene late last night for the Oregon show, and we spent most of the day at the show today. I’ll post a bit more about it in a more appropriate thread (although I’ve done a terrible job taking pictures so far), but there was one thing I picked up that I wanted to share here in the Guardians thread.

The handle shape of this William Rodgers was the first thing stood out to me, then I noticed the distinctive profile of the spey blade (don’t worry, Jack, this’ll be the only time I share this one in this thread with both blades open). I actually didn’t realize that the knife had a Lambsfoot blade at all until I opened it, so that was a pleasant surprise!

Now my knowledge of Sheffield brands and history is admittedly not great, but I was at least familiar with the name William Rodgers, and while I didn’t know if this was an older knife or a perhaps a more recent production (I know Egginton owns the name now), it was unique, and inexpensive, and (most importantly) it was the only Lambsfoot I had seen all day. So, of course, I had to pick it up. 😁

(As for the age, Neal’s opinion after looking the knife over was 1950s or 60s.)
Superb find Barrett, congratulations  That's a beautiful knife in excellent condition :) I wonder if it was made for the Australian market, like the one below?

Enjoy the rest of the show, and safe travels :)
Afternoon all, just got home.
As you know anniversary yesterday, had thai for dinner.
Kristy said she got me a present, we don't do presents. It was tickets to

FASHION THRIFT SOCIETY SALE

Markets on today, gift for me🙄 irony is kristy didn't buy anything & I scored a new leather vest for a bargain.
Had to get bread on the way home so had a coffee.
Snakewood today, only pic today.
Sounds great Mitch, enjoy the rest of the weekend mate :)

Thanks, Fellas. Fine lambs yourselves.

You are right, Jack. Only problem is I am not a fan of this current kids sports cycle. Soccer and Track= bore fest 😂. Thank you for the compliments.

Losing friends and acquaintances is pretty rotten, Jack. I'm sure her family appreciated the sentiment. That is a lot of greenbacks for a home. Lovely lamb my friend.

Dang, Jer. toffee wings is starting to come into her own. Love that knife.

Busy is right. Although I didn't hear about any beer and cigar breaks 😂.

Not sure I have seen that one, Jeff. Who is the maker on that one? Shot in the dark.....TEW?

Hipster joints.....Get you every time. The only folks that can take something so simple and screw it up 😁

A fine lamb.

If one has Waboom how can one leave it in the drawer? Waboom it up, Jack.

We have a bunch of wild asparagus up here. I know all the good spots at work. Not sure it tastes better but it sure does feels like it tastes better.

Dang, Dwight. Sometimes it goes like that. looks like you got it handled in style.

Lovely lamb and sweet photo, Dwight.

Happy late, anniversary to you and the boss, Mitch. That cofee makes my mouth water every time I see it.
Thanks Paul.
Don't worry you will be at 27 years before you know it 😉

Yeah, I know what you mean buddy. My girls mainly did gymnastics, athletics, horse-riding, and for some reason, Irish Dancing! :D Cillian, Matt's little lad, is doing Parkour this morning, which sounds fun! :D

House prices are crazy in this country now Paul, a Million won't get you a garden shed in London! In the last 10 years, a number of the houses on my street, have changed hands, due to old folks passing away, and the folks who buy them are rich, and mostly very snobby - there's a guy across the road, that the whole street dislikes, who has a gold bath!  Thanks pal :)
Busy is right. Although I didn't hear about any beer and cigar breaks 😂.

My daughter did the dance routine also, but made it easy for me and played lacrosse and rugby. Two sports I can actually watch. She actually got knocked out once in college playing rugby! Her badge of courage moment.

Jack, in my town they are knocking down million dollar homes to build McMansions. It's a sad show, where people have to display their wealth to feel important. Only a few of the grand old estates are left.

Rumson is a young town by your standards, established in 1664.

Great score Barrett ! 👍

I hope you have a relaxing weekend buddy :)

Thanks buddy !

Good morning Guardians, I haven't quite caught up here, but need to get moving, as I'm going out for the day. Hoping to fully catch up before I leave :) I'm meeting my mate Matt, and his lad Cillian, in Charlie's, and then we're going to go for a walk, and go see a movie :) Should be a nice day (might even get a pint in ;) ) :) Wishing everyone a great weekend

Have a fun day Jack !

A fine lamb.

Thanks Paul !

Terrific Rodgers, Barrett, and it looks like some nice horn for the covers. Any idea what that distinctive frame pattern is called?

Thanks for the pic buddy :) I'm using 'PostImage', but definitely posting less pics. I'm afraid I don't have much faith in the technical side of the site anymore :(

That is what I use also. it isn't bad but I simply do not want or need to upload every photo I may want to post to an image server.

I think there should be a way to auto delete old attachments; the downside of that is that it leave little to find in a search.

Okay. That is serious knife chasing, Barrett.

I’m not sure if some of our non-North Amer. Continent friends know how far it is from your places out to the North Pacific corner of the country. Knowing you guys, I’m going to guess that you took turns at the wheel and drove straight through.

Don’t be fooling around with the cannon if you’ve gotten around a couple three pints, mate.

Good eye Paul.
Eye. Get it? Sadly, the most excellent Taylor’s Eye etch on the blade is only barely visible with a glass.

People can pretty secretive about where they cut wild asparagus.
I’m lucky that I have the space to have some patches, but a woman I know was bragging about her favorite spots on some country roads up over the state line. But when I asked, she was suddenly nebulous and vague about which roads.

By the way, glad you got that Waynorth LF! Lifetime score, so hang on to it!

One by one is slow🫢
I am down to 2700 of the allowed pics, after starting with more than twice that.

I’ve put that on pause, because I aint got time for it. I mainly did it during the three days with the c19 cold a couple weeks ago. 🤪

Beauty David!
Thanks Dwight!
