Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I'm sure Big Eb appreciates the extra pocket time David :)

You too Dale, and as that fine-looking Lamb is your first pic here...Welcome to the Guardians :)

Sorry to hear that buddy :(

That's the spirit! :)

LOL! :D That would be brilliant! :D Of course he'd have to bring his fleet of old army waggons, Landrovers, Jags, caravans, camper vans, and motorbikes! 🤣

LOL! :D I remember girls telling tales of horror from the hockey field when I was at school! :D

Good for you Dwight, I hope it goes better next time :)

You may have got the best of the bunch there my friend :)

I'm glad you were able to get a break pal :) Cool pic
Thanks Jack!

Superb find Barrett, congratulations  That's a beautiful knife in excellent condition :) I wonder if it was made for the Australian market, like the one below?

Enjoy the rest of the show, and safe travels :)
Thanks, Jack.

Sorry, Jack, I had intended to provide more of a response to the quote above, but apparently I got distracted and forgot to type more than “Thanks, Jack.” before hitting send. 😁

I’m have no idea about the Australia thing (my knowledge of Australian cutlery imports is even worse than my Sheffield knowledge), but if that was the case, that knife must have done some traveling!

Isn't that Pistol Grip frame known as a Saddle-horn in the US? 🤷‍♂️ It's actually one of the oldest spring Knife frames, since the shape will cover the point, as wear between the spring and tang eventually cause the point of the blade to rise in the frame. This older Abram Brooksbank, which started off as a Lambsfoot, has a similar frame

I suppose it’s a bit similar to a saddle horn pattern (something else I’m not particularly knowledgeable on), but the curve isn’t as pronounced as a lot knives I’ve seen referred to as saddle horn. It is somewhat similar to the knife you have there, but with more of a distinct ball shape at the end. It’s definitely a unique pattern and combination of blades.

Afternoon Guardians! Lot of nice Lambs out and about today. Needham Lamb today.

Thats a good looker there, David.

It's an adventure every time you leave the house 😂

I had to order a styptic pencil from amazon since I couldn't find one at any of the pharmacies around here.

Thanks Jack !
It's becoming that way isn't it Steve?! 🤣

They're well worth having aren't they? My dad taught me virtually nothing in life, not even how to shave, man used to walk round with bits of newspaper stuck to his face!

Yes but most not fit for the forum. 😁

Good morning Guardians, despite the fact nothing seemed to go right yesterday, I enjoyed it anyway :D There are several Sikh temples within a mile of where I live, and yesterday was the Sikh festival of Vaisakhi . I was reminded of this as I was walking down to Charlie's, as I saw a few well-dressed Sikhs, but quickly forgot. Snoozing on my sofa mid-evening, the staccato patter of exploding fireworks quickly reminded me! Boy, do Sikhs like fireworks, and they go on for hours! Unfortunately, all the smoke must have activated my fire-alarm, so I was woken up again later, and had to get out of bed to turn it off! I hope everyone is having a good weekend, and getting a chance to put your feet up. I need to catch up with some housework today, unfortunately, and then catch up with some work. Maybe I'll get some more sofa-time later ;) Got my Pals Lamb in my pocket, thanks friends :) Have a great day Guardians

Outstanding Pals Lamb 🐑
Good morning Guardians !

Words to live by buddy :) Great-looking Lamb :)
Jack, I think you are right on the saddlehorn, or at least that's as close as we'll get.
That name was never used here though Jeff :)

Most 2-blade Lambs, just have a Pen secondary. Those knives with the full-size blades seem to have been favoured by the Australian market, and ordered by J.N.O. Baker, and a few other Australian retailers. However, you may have one that didn't travel, or one that travelled in the WRONG direction! ;)

I hope everyone is having a good day :) Not only did the weather change here, and for the worse, but so did my work situation! 😩 I've been busy all afternoon, and I still have some more work to do :( I had been planning to go for a walk with Eve tomorrow, and have a pub lunch, out in the countryside. But the forecast is for heavy rain all day, so we are going to the Movies, and then lunch. And then I will be back home to finish my work :(

Going to be Carrying my Albers Lamb tomorrow :)

I always like working Sunday afternoon. Units are usually winding down training and it gives me time to explore some. Sorry for the photo dump😁. Hung out at one of our fishing holes and had a nice cigar. On the way saw this porcupine hanging out by the road and I shushed him off so he wouldn’t turn into buzzard food. Those suckers do not care. Usually see one or two that have met their end to a pickup truck or Humvee. Only have one unit training today, a very professional Engineer Battalion from Illinois. They are doing their rifle qualifications. Added a picture of one of them during his iteration.

Titusville lamb today. Hope everyone had a good day and memorable weekend.

My favourite knife storage boxes are Nicaraguan cigar boxes! :D Fine pair Jeff

Isn't it?! 😖 🤣 I was just getting ready to go out, but, glancing in the mirror, I realised I'd forgotten to shave, so I quickly took care of that. I hurried down to Charlie's, but when I got there, Sara and Anna were looking at me askance, and it turned out I'd cut my ear, which must have started bleeding as I'd walked down the road. I dabbed it with an alcohol wipe, and pressed a paper napkin against it, while I ate my beans on toast, and drank my coffee. Unfortunately, the small nick was reluctant to stop bleeding, so I went up to the nearby pharmacy to try and get a styptic pencil. I didn't get anywhere, so I asked in the nearby shop. Both are run by bearded Muslims, so they didn't know what I was talking about! 😖 Neither did Hisham, or his brother Nabil, went I went back to the cafe, for which I chided them :D I had been intending to have another coffee and a cake, but I figured I better go home, and sort my ear out, as I didn't want blood on my clothes. On the way up the road, I called in a larger pharmacy, but the Saturday girl wasn't interested. Rather than walk all the way back home, I thought I'd catch the bus into town, where I'd arranged to meet Matt. Annoyingly, 2 of the 3 branches of the main commercial pharmacy have closed, and a lad in another I called in, was totally clueless. Fortunately, my ear had stopped bleeding by this point anyway!

Thanks a lot buddy, you too :)

That's a sweet wee thing Steve
😳😳
Lucky wasn't using a lamb, minus an ear🙃
Sausage rolls looked tasty.
