Every April around here, the first Orioles show up. Just a few, so they look like stragglers, but Grandma called them Scouts. And if you don’t have grape jelly out for them, the Scouts don’t bring the rest of the freeloaders to nest around your yard. That means “garden” for you over by there.
So yesterday, I walked around to check the smoker, and stopped to watch the first Oriole of the year helping herself to my cheap, bought in bulk grape jelly. She saw my hands moving trying to fumble my phone out, so no pic.

Great report Paul :) Do folks there ever use porcupine quills to make fishing floats? They were big here in my Granddad's time, and I used to have a bunch myself. Not bad, and easy to make, but they've been superseded by better materials

Yeah, it was bleeding again last night, not sure how I managed to nick it so deep. Hard to see where it is! :D Thanks buddy, I enjoyed them :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and that you all had a great weekend. The rain is bouncing down outside, and I think I'm going to need my Barbour. I meet even take an umbrella out, which is a rare thing for me  Have a good day everyone, and I hope your week gets off to a good start

Man, you guys just can't get a break from the rain 😲

Hope you can still have a nice day with Eve 👍

Nice pic of Roper !

Cool pic !

Have a good day Jack.
The meds probably don't help to stop the bleeding.
Great burl.
Thanks a lot Mitch, I had never though about the meds making a difference  I got a look at it today, with an additional mirror, and I took quite a chunk ou of my ear lobe! Not sure how I managed it without noticing! 😖
Evening all,
Had to go the shops.
Jack you are gonna like this. While I was ordering (or usual) Tim the owner came up and told us it was free😁
I had another cause I had still had my money.
He told me that 1 was free too😮🙂
Wow, what a great place mate! That's my kind of cafe :) Nice pic
Very nice burl on your Alber's Jack.
Enjoy your time with Eve.
Thanks buddy :) It was a nice day :)

Very attractive Jeff

Still a cool pic Jeff, nice story too :)
Morning Guardians! Hope y'all have a good day. IXL 🐑

De luxe! :)
Man, you guys just can't get a break from the rain 😲
It's been crazy today Steve. It's rained hard at least half a dozen times, in between it's either been cold and windy, sunny and windy, or sunny and warm, and we had some light snow! o_O
Hope you can still have a nice day with Eve 👍
Thanks pal, going to the movies proved to be a choice choice :D

I figured I had time to get a coffee at Charlie's before I went into town to meet Eve. I walked down, in the rain, stopping to have a chat with a friendly bunch of roofers, who are currently replacing Mrs Singh's slates, and were having a break in their van. When I got to Charlie's I realised I'd not only forgotten my cash, but my card-wallet too. Anna and Fabrizio were trying to insist I had one for free, but returning home would mean I no longer had time to have coffee. Explaining this in my severely limited Italian was difficult, particularly bearing in mind that neither of them speak more than about 3 words of English  By this time the sun was out, and it was pretty warm, and I was sweating in my Barbour, as I swiftly walked the mile back uphill to my house. I grabbed my cash and wallet, and decided to head to a different bus-stop, where the first bus was cancelled, and I had to listen to a barking mad Sikh woman. I was meeting Eve at a bookshop in the city centre, and made it in time to have a coffee before she arrived. I had some Easter presents for Eve, as she has been away, and she had some birthday presents for me, so we exchanged those, while we ate carrot cake, and drank coffee. The trailers started at 12.00pm, and the movie didn't finish until 2.30pm, so we picked up some snacks and drinks, and then went into the theatre. The movie was OK, nice to see Ron Swanson as President ;) I shall add no spoilers  Afterwards, we went for Thai, and I found it was too late to buy bread :( I see a large mug of tea, and a Cherry Bakewell in my near future ;)

I wish I had an interesting anecdote but alas I got squat. It rained all weekend but today is pretty nice so I got a walk in. I haven’t been to the movie’s since covid but I splurge on cable. But mostly I scroll through the endless choices and end up watching a repeat of Judge Judy. I have though recently been enjoying immensely an animated show called, “The Rick and Morty Show”. It’s funny but has some serious commentary too. Here’s a lamb. Happy Monday.

Great pic Kurt :) That's a better tale than any of the Tool Stall crowd ever come up with  And a darned sight quicker in the telling! 🤣
Just another adventure ! 😁
I think my adventures might be mere intermissions in my misadventures Steve! o_O🤣
Glad you had a good visit with Eve 👍

🙂 you might have to be more careful take an ear off, glasses wil sit funny🤣
Look up the meds you are on, lots of fun side effects, can contribute to you wanting to nap. Takes awhile to get used to and knock you about a bit, did for me.

Tim is a good bloke, I don't know if the missus would approve, He doesn't speak a lot of English as he from South Korea but improving all the time.
Sounds like you had another good day. I forgot to say when we went the movies. We saw dune 2👍
Have a good day.

Thank you Steve, Jack and David, for the nice comments about Roper. My wife got a chuckle yesterday on the way to church. When I already was wearing dark blue pants, a light blue shirt, blue shoes, a sapphire ring and a watch with a blue face . . . I pulled out Roper and said, "This is the piece de resistance! You've gotta have a matching knife."
