Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Back to work. Looks like everyone is carrying some fine lambs today!!!! @JohnDF glad you are happy with the Albers and hope it serves you well. Bob is fully to blame for the rogue package. I just tagged along. Got the Ashwin today. The wood covers on this knife is mesmerizing.

:oops::oops: WOWZZZAAA!!! Fantastic grain! Two questions - What is the wood -- Is that a lambsfoot?

Stunning Dwight
Bonus pics of the day 👍

Very interesting Steve, it's nice to see more of that historic gem :)
Congratulations!
Paul & Bob a couple of gems, diamond in the rough😆😆
Good on ya gents.
🤣
You had a good day Jack.
Why the mini grips? Did you get a new Wright. They will be a good handy size.
Maybe you should get the ladies with the hat pins from the documentary to sort your delivery issues 🤣
LOL! :D I buy way too much stuff I don't need Mitch, but they are a handy size :D When I was a kid, there was a widow who lived a few doors up, and she used to go to watch that kind of wrestling at least once a week! :D She'd sit on the front row, and carry on just like the ladies in the documentary. She liked nothing more than having a big sweaty wrestler land in her lap! 🤣
Sadly doesn't always work, ours pretty slow. We were told by the telco, cause we were so far up the hill the cable isn't as effective from main cable from the street. All the cables under the national broadband network were supposed to be upgraded years ago but due to costing didn't happen in all areas. The telco offered us a discount at the time we first moved in, of course prices have gone up.
Not just here then? That's interesting Mitch, I'm at the top of the hill too

Excellent Paul, hope work doesn't take too much out of you buddy
Looking good Mitch :)

I had no idea Australia was so mountainous
LOL! :D Australia even has some snow! I've been up a few of the Austrian mountains, but only in the Austrian Tyrol
Yay, great to see those two again! :D

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has made it through the week in good shape. I'm going to have to wait in for my package later, but reckon I have time to nip down the road to Charlie's, have a quick coffee with Wolfie, and pick up some bread in town, so that's my plan  Got my Hartshead Barlow to end the week :) Have a great day everyone

Quick round of golf, then let the cleaning begin. The boss is working her way home.
Nice pic Bob :) Ah, there it is! :D I still haven't worked out where I sent that other key-ring!
Oh man. You might want to skip golf and start cleaning now 😂
🤣 🤣

Evening all
That looks delicious Mitch 😋

I was disappointed to not wake up to a new 64 ounce stainless steel insulated water bottle. Overnight the river rats changed their mind about overnight delivery.
It's still due today, and it won't be really really hot till Monday.
Very annoying Jer :( Nice Black Friday choice there though

I had a narrow escape from an unpredicted downpour, a couple of minutes after I stepped into Charlie's  I also managed to scoop up the last couple of croissants for me and Wolfie :) I forgot to take a pic, but here's Sara behind the counter :D

Wolfie gave me a lift into town, but dropped me on the other side of the market. Since I was there, I thought I'd take a pic of this statue to WW2 airman Arthur Aaron VC. I wish they could find a better location for this statue, other than a busy traffic island, in a remote part of town :(

I grabbed some bread in the market, picked up some nice-looking potatoes, to go with a steak pie, and then scooted home to wait for my delivery ;)

Always a treat to see this one ! 😍

The wood is maple burl. And it is an Ashwin Lambfoot. The knife was ground funny and when I tried it up it lost a bit of taper. It is still tapered to the tip but not as much as it did when it was made.

Hopefully he can get better at his grinds. 👍

Classic Ebony !

What a nice place!

Yeah, it's really friendly in there, and the coffee is the best in Leeds, I reckon :)
Great pic Jack !
Thanks Steve :)

When I got back from town, I could see the postie's van parked a bit further down the road, so I went to investigate, hoping I could relieve him of my parcel. When I got to the van though, it was empty, and looking around, I could see him right down at the bottom of the road. I was expecting him to have called by now, so I just went out to have a look where he had got to, and the van has gone! I don't know if he's left my parcel at the depot, forgotten to deliver it, or is intending to deliver it later. He's a nice guy, but as thick as mince, and really chaotic, so unlike every other postie, he sometimes delivers the parcels separately to the other mail, which means they're not delivered until late afternoon 😖
