Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

We went to another Cardinals game tonight. Our seats in the outfield included all you can eat food — Tool Man would’ve loved it! 🤣 — as well as all the beer you could drink.

The food was decent enough — hot dogs, bratwurst, nachos, brisket, grilled chicken, cookies and brownies. The brisket certainly wasn’t the best I’d had, but it was pretty good when used as a topping for the nachos. 😁

The beer… well, it was American macro-brew stuff… but did I mention it was all you can drink? 😉 Let’s just say I got my money’s worth. 🍺

As you can see, I had my Afzelia Burl Albers with me. Knives under 4” closed are allowed in Busch Stadium, which is nice. (I had it in a pocket slip, too, so I don’t think it was noticed as we were going through security anyways.)

One last picture: the Cardinals’ closing pitcher coming out to finish the game. The Cardinals won, 4-2.

Looks like a blast! 😍 I haven't been to a MLB game in years since I moved from Chicago, that and the food is about all I miss.

Good morning all...waiting for the market report.
Beautiful horn Bob. 👍

Jack, we could use your rain here. We just went into a stage 1 water conservation mode. Pity the lawns.

Good morning Guardians. Headed out for a round of 18 at Lockwood Folly Country Club where I had my first hole-in-one on number 2 hole. Great memory.

Nice! I've come close to a hole in one but never lucky enough to see it go in. Love those HHBs! 😍

Good Morning Guardians
I'm showing off my new Albers Lambsfoot
A very generous gift from Paul @Jakeywax31 and Bob Rufus1949 Rufus1949 ... Both are crazy in a good way.
I'm super thankful to have one of these gems. It is exceptionally well-made and feels exactly as a Lambsfoot should

Congrats John, those are some fine gentleman! I heard someone around here call that Katalox "Mexican Ebony". I like it. 👍

Morning Jack! 🌄 Hope you have a good day at the market. Tell Tool Man and the rest of the motley crew hi. 🤠
Thanks a lot David, we had a full compliment today, though most didn't stay too long: Boring Ray, Gravel, Slimline Scott, Harry Hotballs, Captain Birdseye, Big Dave, and Barry The Original Ted

WOW! Tool Man wouldn't have seen ANY of the game Barrett! 🤣 I was just thinking, I've never seen brisket on nachos before! :D Great to hear that there's no ban on pocket knives there, very sensible :) Thanks for the report buddy, it looks like you had a wonderful time :)
Thanks Jack.
It was fresh, should have went earlier but I was right once I got going 😎
Afternoon all
That's good to hear Mitch :) We have not had many days here, where the temperature has been higher than 60
I don't know much about the tradition, but the Dragon Boat Festival is occurring about now. Part of the tradition is eating zongzi, a sticky rice dumpling. My lambsfoot came in handy for cutting the string. :)

Cool post :) I was handed a fortune cookie in Leeds market! :D
Retirement gets easier, but I would rather forgo the aches and pains that come with it!😁
You'll just have to put your feet up, and get on with it Bob! ;) :D
I quite enjoy it Todd. I have been drinking it for years now.
Because I cannot taste anymore, I rely on recognizing it's smoothness and memory of taste. With each bottle, I offer a sip to my wife, for her to compare to past bottles.
I'd forgotten about that mate, such a shame :( At least you have great taste in cutlery :)

Nice pic Bob :) I'm afraid there isn't too much to report today! :D

I wish I could send you some Bill, it's raining again now

Flying in on wings of toffee
Have a great day at the Market, Jack. 🤠
Thanks a lot John :)

Good morning Guardians !

New member of the flock today 👍

Congratulations, that's some very nice jigging

Fantastic! Eric has done a great job, don't you think John? :) Bob and Paul, you are two amazing guys :)

Interesting about the knife. The first time I went to the new Busch Stadium- 8 or 9 years ago -I had a small Kabar 1071 in my pocket. They gave me such a hard time about this peanut sized stockman I didn't carry a knife on subsequent visits. They gave a friend of mine a hard time about his 3.5" Case on another occasion. Glad, and very surprised, to hear they've loosened up a little bit.
Sounds like you had a good time

Great Lamb from a couple good guys!

I hope everyone is having a good day :) I missed most of the rain thankfully, which enhanced my trip to the market no end :) Tool Man has been trying to cut back a bit, the past few weeks, and while I am sure he had a breakfast sandwich, he had scoffed it before I arrived. He ate most of a treble portion of mushroom bhajis Gravel bought, and had a couple of pork pies later, which Tool Man refers to as 'growlers', but he was relatively abstemious in eschewing his usual unbridled gluttony! :D I had a burger from a new stall in the market, but it was very pricey, and also not very good, so they won't be getting my custom again  Shirley, an old lady, who is one of Ray's regulars, and mothers us all a bit, has not been too well recently, so Gravel suggested having a whip-round for a bouquet of flowers. Unfortunately, Shirley didn't appear, so we are hoping she's not poorly :( Her absence also left us with a problem about what to do with the flowers. Both Tool Man and Ray didn't want to take flowers home, since it would have been so out of character, it might attract suspicion, so, in the end, Gravel said he'd give them to his missus :) Tool Man had a pretty good day on the stall, and I even bought a couple of things off him, including these mini mole-grips...

I also bought a few old books, the most interesting of which is this one...

I thought this might be of interest to one of the Guardians...

and couldn't resist buying this one ;)

I came home about 2pm, as I was expecting a parcel delivery. For some reason though, it had arrived several hours early, and so been taken back to the depot. Bizarrely, the nice-but-dim postie rang my doorbell later, with a package for my neighbour, but didn't have mine with him 😖

Thanks Jack, the pile side jigging is a bit different. I'll post a bonus shot a bit later 👍

I'm glad to hear that you had a decent market day and missed the rain 👍

And you are showing it well John.🤩
It shows itself. ;)
Congrats John
Thank you, pat. :)
those are some fine gentleman!
Indeed they are. 🤠
I heard someone around here call that Katalox "Mexican Ebony".
Yes, I've called it that myself in the past.
I gave away a Katalox non-Lambsfoot model in a GAW a couple of years back.
Eric has done a great job, don't you think John?
He nailed the hand feel and the blade angles. Plus, they feel like a high quality knife.
Great Lamb from a couple good guys!
Thank you, and yes they are indeed.
How perfect is that? Vince would be so proud. 🤠

Great pics of Charlie Lamb 🐑

Nice looking Lamb ! What are the handles made of ?
Thanks, Steve! That Lamb is the one gifted me by Paul with the giraffe bone Glenn recover, but the lighting here doesn't show it off well.
Cool post :) I was handed a fortune cookie in Leeds market! :D
Thanks, Jack! I hope your fortune is good.
The covers on your Lamb are gorgeous... that food looks amazing too. 🤠
Thanks, John!
