Jura is OK, but I don't rate it that highly. As it was on offer, I thought I'd give this blend a try, as it sounded rather attractive. It definitely needs a second tasting, but from what I recall, while it's nice enough, the flavours aren't very subtle, with the rum notes very obvious and to the foreSo how is this scotch?
Cool pic
Very debonair Mitch
Thank you PatrickCool photo Jack!![]()
A special Lamb Jer
A very elegant Lamb KurtHappy Market Report Day. In before the migration hopefully.. Here’s one in paper micarta. The micarta on this one is nice. The layers of paper give a bit of a wood like grain to it.

Good afternoon Guardians, I haven't been back from the market long. It hasn't rained yet today, but it's been cool, and very overcast. I had my tweed cap and Barbour jacket on, like I might in winterThere wasn't a huge amount of traffic behind the Tool Stall, but most of the regulars stayed for a few hours, and we were joined by the impeccably dressed Billy The Ted, who it's always a pleasure to see.
I bought Tool Man his favourite slab of cake, which didn't take him long to take care of, and Gravel went for another slab later, of which Tool Man made equally short work.
Tool Man had eaten his 2 sandwiches before I arrived, so I'm not sure what he had, but he decided to have an additional 'Double Bacon' sandwich, and seemed to think the bag it came in might make a hat
Just as Tool Man was taking a bite out of the last piece of cake, Gravel arrived with several portions of onion and mushroom bhajis, with numerous servings of raita sauce. Tool Man temporarily abandoned his cake to ensure he shoved 90% of said bhajis into his gaping maw!
While greedily grazing the fare, the rhythmic journey of Tool Man dunking bhajis in raita, and depositing them between his jaws, was only interrupted by his moaning about why Martin hadn't purchased more raita, hadn't gone to a different vendor, hadn't bought a different combination of bhajis, etc!
Nobody else is getting near those bhajis! That's Big Dave parked-up on Ray's drum stool
Gravel and Billy The Ted
Tool Man & Billy share a brew
This is one of Ray's regulars, who is quite a funny little character. He's actually a Romany Traveller, but not only dresses differently to all the other Travellers we know, but since he doesn't drive, hasn't actually travelled very far
This isn't Wolfie, my mate, but Wolfie, the security guard, who thinks he's a werewolf!
The Teds are off to the English seaside town of Skegness at the weekend, for one of their annual booze-ups, so I hope they get some sunshine, and nobody gets arrested![]()
