No chip butty for me this year, though. I don't like them and I don't want to go out of my way to eat another one.

Happy Yorkshire Day! 🥳

I celebrated last night with a chip butty! Being my first one, I wanted to try the classic version with potatoes, bread, butter, vinegar, and salt. The potatoes came out of my neighbor's ground last week so they were super fresh. :) Bread came from Walmart, fresh baked yesterday Italian loaf that I sliced thick. I gotta say, the vinegar and salt on the fries... err, I mean chips... made them taste like candy. I'll have to do that more often. 🤤

Results were fantastic! 😁 I'll definitely be making these again, even if only on August 1st of every year. My wife's birthday is August 8 and we always get something she wants, baby back ribs usually. We joke about it being her b-day week so this will be my way of starting those festivities out. She is a picky eater btw, and she ate all of her chip butty! I ate two of them. 🤣

I usually get the bus to York. There is a nice scenic route, and a comfortable double decker. The buses get full when the kids are off school though, so I opted for the train, which costs 5 times as much, and, strangely, takes the same amount of time to get there 🙄 Carrying my Hartshead Barlow, of course! 😁😊👍
