Good idea with the Double Lambsfoot TysonTo celebrate Yorkshire Day, I'm going with a double-lamb day. Later we'll have chip butties and watch a movie set in Yorkshire.
Here's a double-lamb pile-side shot.

I just unpacked my satchel, and discovered that I've been carrying round an extra camera all day!York was fun, I had a very nice chip butty, a couple of pints, visited a few antique shops, and even bought myself a new flat cap, absolutely identical to my existing cap!
There are a lot of old independent shops in York, many housed in buildings from the 14th and 15th centuries. When I spotted half-price Harris Tweed caps in a gentleman's outfitters, which has been there since 1946, I couldn't resist a bargain
I hope everyone else is enjoying Yorkshire Day, still another 6 1/2 hours of it left, to get your giveaway entries in

Thanks SteveCongrats on the new bunnet !
Fantastic Bob, that's a proper British chippy!
Happy Yorkshire day, Jack!! It's hard to find chips cooked in beef fat here in the hinterland!! I'm envious!!!I was the very first customer at Mr Chippy, close to York's old Shambles market. I was surprised to be greeted by name, and figured I must know the Head Fryer from somewhere else. When his assistant turned out to also be called Jack, it made more sense, as I don't think he could see over the fryer! The chips were the first out of the fat (beef dripping), and delicious
I neglected to take a photo of the establishment, so have filched this one online (I was sat to the right of the entrance)

The real reason I stopped going to MacDonald's is, they removed beef fat from cooking their fries!! A vegetarian demand!! I respect vegetarianism - only so far!!!Thanks Charlie, Happy Yorkshire Day my friendI imagine so Charlie, it's a bit of a Yorkshire thing, though in South Yorkshire, where Sheffield is, most chippies use vegetable oil today

Are the chips cooked in different oil?? It took years for people to realize the beef fat content at MickeyD's!!!
