Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Got a doctors appointment shortly so I am working from home this morning and guess what turned up just now!

Big thank you to Barrett btb01 btb01 for organising this beautiful knife. It’s my first Albers and first Guardians piece and I will treasure it. And thanks to Jack Black Jack Black for everything he’s done to promote this beautiful pattern.

You may also notice a little note from customs. I’m beginning to think customs officers must really love slip joints, they open up every one I have sent here to Aus!

I’ve been thinking of a photo that highlights both England where the knife was designed and America where it was made. This book and chapter succinctly puts it together nicely.

Now I pride myself on honesty and integrity so no knife irrespective of how much I’m looking forward to it gets a free pass. F&F is good but I must say the bevel grind isn’t even or brilliant. But it’s also nothing 10 minutes on a stone can’t fix.

I think this one will be getting lots of pocket time! Thanks guys I love it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Congrats Jack.

A man of both culture and class!

Is that birch bark? I’m not familiar with North American trees. How well does it catch a spark?

I typically make char cloth out of my used cleaning patches which works well. I occasionally use punk wood but with the local quartz producing poor sparks it can be a bear to get an ember some days.
Yes it's birch bark. I haven't used it much so still on a learning curve in its use.

Well, dont blame me, it's Barrett and Eric's fault that I keep posting pics of the same knife. If they hadn't absolutely nailed it I'd have switched up by now.

but I also do birth certificates to the same high standard if anyone is interested 😁

I’m a Victorian country boy, I think that’s an automatic red flag to customs 😂
Last weekend they did a series of drug raids throughout rural Victoria. Your birth certificate racket probably raised suspicions hence the red flag.

I don’t follow the news, too depressing.

Just did a quick google, I live not too far out of Horsham and it looks like they were part of it 😬

A balmy and hot Wisconsin day. Took my son to his golf lesson and hit a bucket of balls. Pretty much all I accomplished today 😂. I have the stag Charlie lamb in the pocket today.

Hey, it finally made it! Good to know we’re being watched (and I’m glad they didn’t take anything!). 🤣

I’ve also pegged down the rascal too.

No need to thank me for my professional work either Barrett.

I know it’s not kosher to talk shop, but I also do birth certificates to the same high standard if anyone is interested 😁

I was lucky to be 50 before I had my first hangover. I didn't realise I had a superpower until it was gone! 😭

Great picture Bob !

I think the new knife is realising it hasn’t landed in an illustrious home cutting expensive cheeses and fancy meats.
Sorry 😬
