Good morning Guardians. Sunny and cool this morning here in NC. Great morning for my obligatory daily walk. American football season is upon us and I'm a diehard Eagles fan but I must divide my time between the Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team because the Phillies look like they will be making a run at the World Series. Keeping my good luck charm in the pocket (my HHB).

Until I was 65 I had never taken a nap. Then all of a sudden I could close my eyes at noon and sleep a solid hour!

Good early mornin Guardians. I’m still kickin . Workin the night shift tonight.

I had kicked the Copenhagen chew for a month and a half but I’m back . I’m a weak man. My wife just laughed at me and shook her head.

On to some bad news. My best Army buddy and the Godfather to my oldest son lost his dad suddenly and unexpectedly last night. I will be making the trip to South Bend next Tuesday for the services. It will be good to see him as I have not seen him since my last deployment, but wish it was under better circumstances.

Looked through the knife drawer and realized I don’t give this knife the love it deserves. Carrying this great Shadow Rodgers that was a generous gift from Rufus1949 .

Hope everyone has exciting weekend plans lined up.

I have up Copenhagen when I quit drinking 25 years ago. Had chewed tobacco since I was young. Sorry for your friends loss of his father.
