Lovely! Enjoy the nice autumn day -- it is back into the upper-90's (F) heat index this week for me...

Stellar capture as always. I like the black "fingers" wrapping around your lamb. 😍

Happy hump day Guardians !

Love those pants! 😍 Nice tree backdrop as usual.

I had a hard time choosing my favorite condiment so here finally is my entry for Barrett’s great Cranberry Relish Albers Lambsfoot giveaway. Ketchup is pretty good. It’s so good I prefer Catsup. A little catsup on my meatloaf s’l vous plait. But I’m a bit addicted to The Pepper Plant Original California Style Hot Pepper Sauce. Good to see I’m not alone in this choice. It comes in a few varieties. And it’s from Gilroy which is a nearby town. Good stuff.

Great shot, Dwight!

Didn't realize that I had anywhere close to that many. Thanks for checking that for me, Barrett. I would love to enter. I will get up a better photo sometime this week.

No worries, Dan. You’re in!

Complete Lambsfoot content. ;). Was slicing some stuff up today, and had forgotten how good a slicer my CC Lamb is. It is in the top 2 of my best slicers. We were completely spoilt with this release, Bill and Charlie are to be congratulated, just such an historic knife so well made. I remember the pandemonium when they dropped, in hindsight was very warranted. 🀣🀣🀣. And i may be highly compromised and biased, but the Jigged Bone was the finest out of all of the drops..

Fantastic knives, aren’t they? I’m a big fan of GEC in general, and part of that is because they tend to grind their knives pretty thin behind the edge, making them good slicers.

I was completely torn between the jigged bone and ebony when these came out. I went with the jigged bone, but in hindsight, I should’ve just shelled out for both. 😁

It's Wednesday morning here, and I've just had a phone call from Tool Man, with some bad news. He returned from the annual Teddy Boy do in Blackpool, full of flu, and will not be able to make the market tomorrow, which means I better find some work to do  Sorry you won't get a market report Guardians :( This year was actually the last Ted Do in Blackpool, the highlight of Tool Man's year, and so far there don't seem to be any videos of the carnage posted on YT, but I sshall keep looking ;)

Sorry to hear Tool Man’s out of commission. I’m sure he’ll bounce back soon enough.

Leeds is a big university town, and so the influx of tens of thousands of young people in mid September is very noticeable. The returning students occupy about twice as much space as a normal person, and the new ones take up twice as much space again. Most of them are leaving home for the first time, and almost all of them seem to have never been in a supermarket, on a bus, in a big city, or in the company of so many other young people, before. And they have arrived with a whole hunk of change, just begging to be spent ASAP. So, the geeks spend heavily on comic books, the cool cats get their first tattoos, the fashionistas browse the High Street, and the hipsters stock up on beard oil and pipe tobacco. The Goths have to wear every item of Goth gear they'v3 purchased, all at once, and it's the same with every other sub-culture. And almost all of them are going to be drinking for the first time this week, and heavily. And I'm eating carrot cake in a coffee shop, and wishing I'd brought my ear-plugs, as well as my reading glasses πŸ™„

I lived in a college town for many years (as a student and then for several years after), and it was always the same when school started back in the fall.

I thought the Leeds Independent Library had stopped putting their sign out, but they're just tucking it away a bit more πŸ˜‰

Glad you found the sign again, but I don’t know that I’ll be working that one into conversation any g time soon.

When I received notification of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, I was reminded of our absent ship-mate @JohnDF , who first brought this bit of fun and nonsense here. So I'm sending him a message in a bottle ;) πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ

I spoke with John recently. He had a lot going on this summer, but sounded like he was holding up well enough.

He once told me he swears by the old adage, 'Feed a cold, feed a fever"! πŸ€£πŸ˜‰

A Tool-Man-ism if I ever heard one! 🀣

Is there a better way to spend time during a workday than grilling meat and not working? 😁

Just finished lunch myself, corned beef, Swiss and thousand island on marble rye. The Lambsfoot is my Ringed Gidgee Albers.

To be fair to him, he's not a malingerer, and he's usually down at the market regardless, spreading whatever nasty infection he has to all his friends πŸ˜–

Yeah, there's over 60,000 full-time students in Leeds, and not more than 10 of them know how to cook for themselves! πŸ˜–πŸ€£;)

I know there's more in my cupboard, as well as the fridge, but I'm not risking anymore 'breakages'
